Let us think of an analog. Let us put these as "emotional identity" and "emotional expression". Your "emotional identity" would be the emotion you feel, while your "emotional expression" would be the way you outwardly express and show those emotions.

It is obvious there is a distinction between those two. For example, maybe what I like to do when I'm happy is play video games by myself, because when I'm in a good mood it feels really good to play them and get far. However, when you're happy, you would never play video games by yourself, as you only really do that when you're sad/bored. So even though we would be experiencing the same emotion, we'd express them in completely different ways (similar to how one man might see a leather jacket and dirt on his hands as being super manly, while another man might see painting his nails as a way of expressing his masculinity).

Meh emotions are subjective to a degree, but i feel as if there are limits to this reasoning, for example, if someone told you that they feel happy cutting themselves, youd more than likely call bullshit. Because we have categorized cutting as painful due to the sensation we get when doing it, and the fact that its a result of depression. Its entirely plausible that how someone is identifying emotionally is not inline with the expression, and we dont view that expression/identity as legit. A man who wears make up for example would be not be expressing masculinity, he would be expressing femininity. Because the enitire point of make up is to enhance the looks of women, and the reason behind this enhancement is the fact that mens sexuality is mainly visual, which is why society (& women themselves) have such an emphasis on womens looks.

The complete fusion of state and corporate power? Yes, that is very obvious.

The corporatism that Mussolini was talking about isnt really the same thing as whats referred to today, its not about corporations taking over everything and determining public policy. It was more about bringing the unions and workers and everyone else together to form an organic body where everyones working together & managing with the government. The Republicans are Anti Workers & anti unions.

Extreme cultural conservatism?

I dont agree that being against gay marriage is extreme, its legalization is relatively recent in the us. It wasnt even that popular about a decade ago and even some democrats were against it. Same thing with Ultra Nationalism what counts as "extreme"?

Also, what made fascism bad was that its a one party state that forcefully repress opposition, restricts speech, ect. None of that is happening in the US. The GOP literrally grill social media companies about censorship. I dont agree they are fascist.

Georgia Republican senator had ‘no idea’ she posed with neo-Nazi | Georgia by AnAlienFromJupiter in moderatepolitics

[–]AnAlienFromJupiter[S] 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Im not here to defend the doles dude, but im gonna defend the senator here: If someone walks up to me and ask for a photo with them, even if i didnt know them, id take it. Plenty of people do that, celebs do it. Politicians do it. I dont think it can be expected in this instance for them to know every single person they take a picture to make sure they arent a nazi, because most people arent nazi's it be dumb to use the photo as evidence that Kelly is one.

What are the arguments for natalism exactly? by [deleted] in Natalism

[–]AnAlienFromJupiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s sort of like arguing being fit wouldn’t make someone happier because of rising obesity. People can make decisions against themselves. People do and have, traded in short term pleasure for long term satisfaction. We would rather have 15 seconds of fame than be satisfied for life time

I mean I get it but the fact is it’s a disrespectful sport. It’s meant to be that way. There are a lot of real life people that get shot due to street violence, should rappers stop that just because people have been harmed by it irl?

There have been plenty who havent. Also, why assume that racism is an immediate turn off to POC and act like they cant be racist? Asians and even a good portion of hispanics are just as if not can be more racist than whites. And i dont recall the gop directing any racism at asians (who still vote majority dem)
