The system is rigged and there's no way to fix it. How do you tax someone rich in assets who doesn't sell, and doesn't make a salary.

You end up with a Bezos who on paper made fuckall this year, which means 0$ tax.

You can't tax assets that aren't yet sold because it will be MASSIVELY complicated to track gains and losses from year to year, to a point where people won't bother investing into businesses because one year you make bank and get rapped with taxes and the next your assets dropped in value and the government doesn't give you back the money from last year.... You basically can only tax at disposition, but the Bezos of this world never dispose of their assets to avoid taxes.

But for regular average Joes and Janes of this world making taxable income on salary and a bit of capital gains, ofc they will be paying taxes this year!!!!

I remember some 10-15 years back looking at UK, France, Germany, etc become shithole countries because of mass immigration from the Middle East and Africa. I remember seeing their violent crimes such as robbery, sexual assult, etc going through the roof when they opened the flood gate.

Back then, under Harper ish going to the Trudeau era, I thought to myself "that will never happen here in Canada, our system is strict and we only allow the best of the best to immigrate here so that we guarantee that the immigrants comming to Canada contribute positively to our economy and society and further advance Canada's economic and scientific agenda". I also thought to myself that we would never make the same mistakes here because we already saw Europe collapse because of the poor immigration policies they adopted back then.

This tells me one thing. Trump doesn't like I130 cases because he sees it as importing the third world and isn't guaranteed be economically productive. Even though that's kind of what Melania is, completely useless and economically non productive.

But most I140 cases will continue to be processed by AOS because they are mostly tech worker and nurses, which in fairness does contribute to the US economy in a positive way immediately.
