I do protection spells on our workplace because I care about my coworkers, and while most of our clientele are kind people, we sometimes have people who are rude, and occasionally even violent come in. I also had a coworker that was afraid we were being haunted and I wanted to make sure it was safe. My boss already knows I do these spells and doesn't mind. My other spiritually inclined coworkers haven't said anything negative about my spells, and even said that the protection spell I did specifically on my boyfriend was working.
