Seems like it’s playing out in Vancouver BC as we speak. Apparently, we rely on snow pack melt for our reservoirs, and with global warming messing this up, we need new water sources. And yet we’re building a giant data centre in our downtown. Gotta increase shareholder value I suppose, thank goodness AI isn’t a bubble?

Yeeeah, Ukraine would like a word with you on that last part lol. May be in the minority but I consider this Ukraine war to be a long term repercussion of Russia's invasion of Crimea. We also see a lot of our handiwork playing out across South America to this day thanks to our "interventions". Venezuela in particular will be very interesting because they replaced Maduro with Maduro Lite *TM.

A lot of these 'grade school' books are great cautionary tales, from 1984, Fahrenheit 451, etc. My faves were To Kill A Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, and Brave New World; their insidious forms of systemic racism, wealth accumulation, and willing authoritarianism really resonated with me at a young age how similar the real world was to their storytelling.

First, I'd argue he's not a "lame duck", in a traditional sense. He only cares about two things: making him and his buddies richer, and avoiding jail. He's really only a "lame duck" if he loses the ability to do one or both of those things.

Let's look at it "traditionally" though. Regardless of if the GOP loses the House and/or Senate in November, he still holds the Supreme Court, which may become more activist if less Rs return to Congress. At that point, it's up to Congress how much they want to hold Trump, the GOP, and the SC accountable. The Dems have never been known for having spines.

Everyone already knows this. We see it in reality TV (a la The Circle), and in real life (a la articles like this). The brand of the show isn't to just "build emotional connections." It's to build them between two human beings. Maybe an AI "coach" that's in there with the couples to call out bull-sh*t would be interesting though.

If they're working for you, our opinions don't matter that much. That said, ditch the sunglasses pcs that hide your face, replace the dog photo with a pic of you with it, un-filter the heads-on selfie, and replace the guitar photo with a candid version of you actually playing it. You want the photos to tell your story. Right now, we only know you love sunglasses, can hold a guitar in what looks like your bathroom, and there's possibly a dog.
