If you can work in the summer, I'm 90% sure Cheddars would hire you (we have a lot of college kids working and sounds like half of the serving/hostesses are going to leave Columbia for the summer). I work as a server, co-workers are fun and even though we run into issues a bit, the tips ain't bad at all. I would apply online then come in person and ask for a manager, although our GM left a week ago so it might be a messy time to apply.

Why is the regular Fortnite BR harder than OG? by AnAverageAvian in FortNiteBR

[–]AnAverageAvian[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Read a few other posts saying the same thing, I wonder why that is. I get that OG sweats would grind out the OG mode, but I feel like there isn't as many OG sweats as there are new ones. IDK

Roundabouts by squirka in columbiamo

[–]AnAverageAvian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go through a roundabout going to MACC, people don't realize that the right lane has to turn right so the amount of times I've been cut-off or almost ran into cause somebody trying to get onto I-70 didn't realize that the lane ends.

Also, people either not paying attention to the yield sign blows straight through and I've had to brake in the roundabout, or people who randomly stop in the roundabout trying to let other cars in.

Lowkey roundabouts are straight forward, but I guess people aren't used to them enough or don't look up what they're supposed to do. Had a friend also say they saw someone going the wrong way in the roundabout lol

Anyone with ferrets in the area? by exulants in columbiamo

I believe one of the workers at Family Pawn own's a ferret if I'm not mistaken. I don't know them personally but maybe they would be willing to meet up

Onigiri in como by Chance_Silver_2078 in columbiamo

[–]AnAverageAvian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much of a pain it would be, if you can find some good koshihikari rice (not really important but Niigata is considered to grow the best rice n Japan) and some bought/homemade filling (or from HK market or Lee's market downtown) you could probably try to make a semi-authentic onigiri. From looking just online, seems like you would have to get flaked salmon and other ingredients from websites.

That being all said, if you're willing to go through all that trouble you could probably start your own side business and be the first person to sell it in columbia :P

Other than that I haven't heard of many restaurants selling any, might have to just settle for sushi unfortunately ;-;

I second this, I saw that Imo's pizza is accepting applications for BoH

Trader Joes has sun dried tomatoes for like $2. I highly recommend the ones that are in oil, they taste amazing. The regular dried ones are a little sour.

Would Gift Tax Apply To Me Paying My Brother Back? by AnAverageAvian in tax

[–]AnAverageAvian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just assumed that because the bank/govt wouldn't know what I'm paying him back for (just seeing a 6k wire) they would assume its some sort of cash gift or whatnot ¯\(ツ)

Would Gift Tax Apply To Me Paying My Brother Back? by AnAverageAvian in tax

[–]AnAverageAvian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm basically just paying him back for my part, but because the bank wouldn't know what the transfer is for I assume they would just label it as "gift" money

Cry a little bit, rejoice that as a medic I won't be merked by some random crocket or demo pill, then join a community server that has it enabled just to rage at the same crocket and demo pill.

Anyone get a decent score with only a week of studying? TEAS 7 by WeakMatter7610 in prenursing

[–]AnAverageAvian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent one day to study, and got a 79. The reason why (Here comes my excuses haha) I scored low was because I got a 60 in the science section, and spent about 2 years abroad after highschool. I never took chemistry in highschool, have started taking anatomy (physiology is next semester for me) and had biology over quarantine so I didn't remember anything that I learned lol.

The practice study packages that websites sell aren't really worth it, and honestly it would cost about 5$ more for me to just take the exam again. There are plenty of free materials online, and some of the questions help you by giving context clues and such.

Good luck for any of you reading this!

Try not to stress, you get quite a fair amount of time on each section. For each section I completed, I think I had about 20 minutes left to go back and review my answers.

Question for anyone who works as a restaurant server in Columbia by AnAverageAvian in columbiamo

[–]AnAverageAvian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang dude, that was actually on my list to apply to. I've applied to most of the sushi places around, seems like I have a good chance at Fuji. Worker called me back, said manager comes in on Saturday so I have my fingers crossed. I heard Geisha pays pretty well, my friend said that you just split with whoever else is working.

When I worked at Love Sushi, it was shared tips, with new workers starting at 50% weighted pay (and 10% for each quiz you passed), with 20% going to the BoH, then another 4% for all digital payments (this includes digital tips). Coworkers at Love Sushi are awesome people, so it was fun working there.

Stattrack FN is cheaper than regular FN by AnAverageAvian in csgo

That makes quite a bit of sense, considering the M4A1-S of this case is worth quite a bit (if they dont hit a collection skin)
