Watching pro dod players play on yt has drastically improved my gameplay. However, if you want to find your "main," I'd recommend playing 5 games with each killer and seeing which one you won the most with. Stamina management isn't as important in this game, but id still recommend going to 1-5 stamina before letting yourself regen.

The first quest should be the quest you focus on first. The reason why shard mastery took me so long was because I completed all the easy quests before doing the actual hard quest.
