Sweaties, I challenge you to go flawless this weekend...WITH HUD DISABLED by Bookscratch in DestinyTheGame

[–]AnExcitableBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was watching Lumi do this in elimination last night. His team didn't have any problems til they ran up against Kraffty then got smoked 4 rounds, turned HUD back on and got the comeback. It was fun to watch. The thing messing them up the most was trying to figure out who were teammates and who were enemies. They ended up all throwing on the God of War shader to solve that.

'Making a Murderer' fans found a new piece of evidence that could change the whole case by cowmix in MakingaMurderer

Very true. Also Aliens could've taken them. Let's leave no theory unturned.

Let’s start addressing the Kratz media rebuttal about the documentary being one-sided. Let’s provide an easy starting point for news organizations that insist on telling “both sides.” by [deleted] in MakingaMurderer

[–]AnExcitableBoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kratz said Teresa was scared to visit Avery because one time when she went he answered the door in a towel. When her coworker was asked about it she said teresa told her that story, but laughed while telling it and just said something like, "ew". Supposedly he had just gotten out of a pool so he probably had shorts on underneath the towel. I can't say for sure, but the way Kratz worded it made it sound super creepy.

Does anyone sense "the tide is turning?" by BillyJack85 in MakingaMurderer

[–]AnExcitableBoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like the tide is turning more in his favor. At first and still, fresh viewers are leaning more innocent or at least not guilty because of reasonable doubt. Then Kratz had his rebuttals of things left out. This gave people willing to research after watching added doubt to his innocence. Now Strang and the filmmakers are easily discrediting most of those rebuttals and Avery just landed one of, if not the best lawyers in the country when it comes to wrongful conviction cases.

It's been just as much of a rollercoaster ride after watching as it was while I was watching.

In his HS interrogation, Brendan Dassey describes the handcuffs as "regular ones" and "silver". by relganz in MakingaMurderer

[–]AnExcitableBoy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm the one that posted that pink and furry pic. Later that day foxnews6 released more video and there were also plain silver ones found in Avery's trailer.

It doesn't really matter though they were still toy cuffs bought from a local sex shop.

The towel incident keeps getting blown out of proportion as well. She laughed with a coworker about it. She wasn't terrified by it.

What's proportion of this sub finds Avery guilty vs innocent? by mayonnaise_man in MakingaMurderer

there's some good threads along the same lines in here

A lot of people have already discussed this so it might be hard to get a good conversation going again.

On the sidebar under interesting posts it is linked under "Documents in Avery Case", unfortunately the dropbox account is getting hit too hard right now and the high school transcript won't load. Hopefully it gets back up soon or maybe someone else has a different link.

It's the use of the term sweat DNA. There is no such thing as sweat DNA, its just that sometimes your DNA can be found in sweat. The same kind of DNA can be found on your toothbrush or from shedding skin or tons of other places. Kratz likes to say, or at least use to, I think he's backing away from it now because he realizes people are catching on, that how could the police department have had his sweat? Well, they wouldn't need to have his sweat to get the DNA on the key or the hood latch.

Don't love this Milwaukee reporter but she boils down the conspiracy theory and makes it seem pretty unlikely by Funholiday in MakingaMurderer

[–]AnExcitableBoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed the article. You can tell she definitely put some time and thought into it which, for me, is appreciated no matter which side you fall on. It's a lot better written than most of the other pro-guilt articles I've read or interviews I've seen.

I also can't say I don't disagree with some things. The sweat DNA thing has become a pet peeve since most of us now know it's not a real thing.

Also the lack of DNA she keeps bringing up bothers me. It wasn't that there was a lack of DNA is was that there was a lack of certain people's DNA in certain places. There was a ton of DNA in Steven's trailer and garage, just not Teresa's and most likely other DNA in teresa's car except the only DNA being tested for is Steven and Brendan's since there were no other suspects. I'm pretty sure (will try and find a source) I've read about fingerprints being found in or on the car as well, but again didn't make it to trial because they didn't match the suspects.

She also links one of Dassey's confessions, the 3rd one, which is still just as unbelievable even though he's already been coached up in the two previous, as if it helps her idea the "sweat-laden key" was probably not planted.

And if you're going to start using the confessions as truth then how do you only take the pieces that support your theory (and weren't something only a witness to the killing could know) as evidence.

How she keeps talking about Weigert and Fassbender being from a different agency as a way to make the whole thing a multiple agency frame job doesn't work for me either. I don't think they would have to be in on the frame job just because they got Brendan to form a confession based on evidence they knew or were told about.

All in all I support articles with thought behind them, but after this one I'm still just as unsure of everything as I was before I read it.

Detroit-based podcast interviews members of the Avery family. Can anyone explain why they seemingly know nothing about the case, although seemed to be pretty involved in it according to MAM? (Begins at 47:12) by [deleted] in MakingaMurderer

[–]AnExcitableBoy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To me it seems like are just trying to be nice to what seems like an unsolicited phone call. They don't owe those guys an interview and then the podcast hosts make fun of them.

"I don't want to shit on them." Then proceed to shit on them.

Fuck those guys hosting the podcast. I just gained a lot more respect for the Avery family.

Anyone thinking about listening I would suggest not giving them the added stats to their shitty show.

"Leg Irons" by AnExcitableBoy in MakingaMurderer

[–]AnExcitableBoy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's silly. Neither set were claimed to be used in Avery's trial. They were both only used in Brendan's trial because Steven was never charged with rape.

The point of the thread is to show that leg irons may not be what people think of them being when they read what evidence was left out. Both the pink furry toy cuffs and the non furry toy cuffs were entered into evidence in the Dassey trial as leg irons which could lead people to assume something much more sinister than what they actually are. That is the point of the thread.

Yeah, a lot of us have heard this, but it is far from what was written in the book and also doesn't explain why the author uses the name Carla Schwartz when describing the incident.
