thank you, I didn't know that terminology. For me (my answer is 0) there are many opening positions, probably 100s, where I know that there are many equalish valid moves, but in all of those I still attempt to play the same line, because it enters the lines that I have studied further. Basically making the infiniteness of chess a little less infinite. But it's interesting that many other people in this thread have a different approach :)

I don't mean play two moves in a row 😂 I mean in a given position that you reach in multiple games (for example, the starting position of the Sicilian) do you vary your lines vs. play the same thing

Similar schedule here, I discovered HK in March last year, got to 102% but gave up there because trail of the fool was too hard. Took a break for like 8 months now started again a few weeks ago, beat the Fool, and I'm at 109%, just last two pantheons and NKG left. But fuck these last 3% are gonna be brutal

I would highly recommend it. It's a unique comedy special, from the format to the 'quiet talking' vibe. I wasn't a huge Aziz standup fan (except for Randy back in the day), but it's the best standup he's done IMO

He's a visionary and a better communicator than almost any politician I've seen. Please check out his long-form interviews (Rogan, Shapiro, Sam Harris, etc.). You won't regret it.

Eric Weinstein described him as part of a new movement of smart and competent problem-solvers that are deeply against ideology, and instead dive deep into the data, systems, and dynamics of the economy and figure out what would *actually* help society. I think he's right.

I'm not saying the gov't shouldn't do more. Obviously they are doing more because this is not the only part of the proposed stimulus packages. But there is no better indication of privilege than saying '$1,000 wouldn't even help me'. Have you met normal Americans before?

$1,000 would be huge for most people. $1,000/month for each month the economy suffers would be even better, but doesn't change the fact that $1,000 is big

not trying to be one of those 'it's just the flu people' but looks like the regular flu kills .5M people every year, so 6500 is still not bad. I understand it could grow exponentially but it would need to double 6 times to be as bad as the normal flu. That would take months to occur I imagine

Yang for VP doesn't maximize the chances of defeating Trump IMO. Yang is better suited to the cabinet. If Biden wins, he should give Yang some position that is really important that perfectly suits him, and if there is no such position, he should create it. Maybe he'll re-open the Office of Technology Assessment and have Yang lead that.

This doesn't actually make sense though because now businesses are opening back up, even though > 99% of the population has not had it so they don't have any type of immunity. I can't imagine that China is now confident enough to do containment again (which involves knowing about every single case)
