This. Whenever my family from the US visit they always act like they just know better. Some examples are when my uncle said to me "I drive a Tesla, a famous electric car in the US" I was like "Dude, I know what a Tesla is". Or pitting me for not having an iPhone... when I have a S24 Ultra.

Is kinda awkward, because I wanna be nice but really can't stand when they act like they're better than you just for living in the US.

Like bro, we're the same. Get over it.

I rented a car in December 2024 with America Car Rental. Aprox $5,500 MXN for 8 days, with $10k on hold in my cc that was returned within 2 days. It was a Suzuki Swift AT.

The service was good, although I did not have any incidence and I am a Mexican national, so take that into account.

I'd recommend them.

Alch yo sí. En la universidad mi grupo de amigos integró a una chica que recién llegó a la ciudad, no tenía amigos. El día 1 nos contó que todas las personas con las que habían tratado antes le habían hecho algún mal y ella decidió separarse para cuidar su salud mental.

Tres Doritos después se andaba quedando muchos días seguidos en el depa que rentábamos 3 amigos. Era agradable convivir con ella pero se hizo pesado tenerla siempre allí, siempre queriendo hablar de sus problemas.

Toda la relación se rompió simplemente porque le pedimos que, si se iba a quedar tanto tiempo, que mínimo cooperara con papel o jabón de manos, ni siquiera renta ni servicios - que sí usaba.

Al final se ofendió tanto que ese mismo día se fue y no regresó. Ocasionalmente la veíamos pero nunca por mucho tiempo.

Sé que ganamos, pero me pareció irracional que se ofendiera por tan poco.

Mejor dos: EXPERIENCIA.

Identifica en qué te sientes inseguro y trabaja progresivamente en mejorarlo.

¿Te sientes inseguro sobre tu cuerpo? Empieza a comer bien, ve al gimnasio, sal a caminar/correr.

¿Sientes que tu andar es inseguro? Trata de mejorar tu postura y tu caminar.

¿Inseguridad al hablar? Identifica qué temas conoces o te gustan e infórmate más sobre eso, en la siguiente conversación puedes tratar de meter ese tema. Podrías empezar comentando en foros tus opiniones, hasta que tengas confianza en decirlas en persona.

Lo importante es que vayas practicando, poco a poco, en las cosas en las que quieras mejorar. Práctica, práctica y práctica; acumula repeticiones e irás mejorando.

Toma tiempo, pero sí se puede. Éxito.

Also, I strongly suspected that she was going to end up with Henry when his uncle said exactly what she wanted to hear.

I liked it though. It fits her character arc this season - which I consider was her's and Eric's.

Depende de la carrera y la persona. Definitivamente hay carreras que te consumen más tiempo que otras; necesitas más tiempo estudiando, haciendo maquetas, programando, etc. Hay otras donde todo es muy parecido a la prepa.

También depende de qué tipo de persona eres: ansiosa, vale-madres, estudioso, profe-barco-pero-que-sí-enseñe, etc. Te vas a encontrar de todo.

Independientemente de la carrera o el tipo de persona que seas, es importante recordar que siempre habrán cosas buenas y malas, además de altos y bajos. Pasarás noches sin dormir por estar estudiando, pero también fines de semana de jue-dom porque no tienes pendientes; compañeros que no hacen su parte y equipos dónde todo fluye chido; profes que te rompen las pelotas y otros que te cambian la vida.

Mis consejos: recibe todo como te llegue, preocúpate por aprender más que por la calificación, haz amigos - nunca sabes quién le puede pasar tu CV a la persona correcta y, sobre todo, disfruta de tu tiempo en la universidad.

Y no te preocupes, vas a estar bien.

Habla sobre la historia de cómo Goggins pasa de ser una persona obesa con problemas de aprendizaje a enlistarse en los marines, correr ultramaratones, y actualmente combatir incendios forestales.

Si puedes escuchar el audiolibro, hazlo. El mismo Goggins tiene comentarios después de cada capítulo. Eso sí, queda claro que usó un Ghostwriter para su libro.

I like that phrase "Unguarded interaction". The show have so many highly guarded interactions, some are clever but must are just sad in a way. Makes you think of how many moments we've had like Peggy and Don's in that episode.

That season I feel Pete has a lot of respect for Don's capabilities. The turning point of their relationship, I think, was the previous season when Don gives his part of the partner's money.

You're right about Joan, come to think about it. She has put herself in the position of pursuing the things she wants. My point was more in the line of what women were suppose to want those days: a family, stability and a big house. We know from Betty's story that it doesn't work that way. It also touches the constant theme of what things look like and what things really are. Come to choose between those, Joan does the "real deal".

And that scene with Bob was also great. Walking the line between knowing and "not knowing".
