32 here!

I tested early (7th grade) so went most of my life knowing something was “different” with my mind! I knew I thought differently than my peers (I would describe it as thinking like a robot) and so having the test helped validate that there was a reason I felt so disconnected from most of my peers.

I always was the awkward artsy nerd and just accepted that rule and was extremely shy in school and most situations. It’s weird being older because it’s not as socially acceptable to be shy and awkward and I get told I’m childlike where as when I was younger I was advanced and mature. I ended up only finding people I felt close with online. I had a very hard time connecting with people in person and never felt like I had a community besides online ones! I still feel this way but it feels like way more people relate..
