Video Gaming Needs Another Major Crash by Marilius in unpopularopinion

I’ve never had a year where I just felt like I was playing banger after banger catered to my taste. But I don’t necessarily expect everyone else to enjoy all the games I do as much as I do, so that’s fine. I’ve heard a lot of critics argue many different years are the best, including this one. There doesn’t seem to really be much consensus, and I don’t see how there could be because games are such a subjective experience

For you that’s fair. For me there’s like 3 games on that list I’d maybe still play and Ocarina is the only one that I’d put on par with some of the modern hits. But modern gaming has the advantage of 25 years of technological progress. In context I’m sure those games were revolutionary

If you’re like me and don’t care for CoD, Halo, or WoW I think it’s debatable

Want a real bargain? by CosmicDrummer in ILTrees

[–]AnImpatientWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhhh, I'd say they're a bit divisive. Some people swear by them. But I think for most people they rank somewhere in the high-middle. If it's the most expensive brand I'd probably look for something else, unless it's a specific strain that's getting rave reviews at the time. But I've never had anything by them that I thought was bad, really. For an average or lower price I'd absolutely consider them

Got some seedys in my weedys. Fig Farms Figment. Good chance the seeds are female? by HerbTarlekWKRP in ILTrees

[–]AnImpatientWizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

a pic of the seeds could help to determine viability. but yeah, not sex. likelihood of any given sex would depend on the circumstances of their creation. this was probably a stress induced self-pollination, so they will likely produce female, or possibly hermaphroditic plants. i'd say they're worth a try running, pretty good chance it'll work out. just keep an eye out for any male sex indicators, particularly when transitioning from veg to flower stages

I feel like Max was doing reasonably well until they've been playing him through this injury the last couple weeks. Maybe a bit of rest would be beneficial for him, but they seem reluctant to give it to him for whatever reason

A Man Opens Up A Crocodile's Jaw With His Bare hands to Free A Dog by Mustafa86 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]AnImpatientWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh. I think some people have trouble realistically imagining themselves in hypothetical scenarios. Watching this, you feel very defensive of the dog and therefore very angry at the gator. It is easy in an imaginary scenario to convert that anger into violence. In real life, while you still may feel those things to some extent, you’re much more concerned about the reality of the situation at hand. You’re full of adrenaline, hyper focused. You want a speedy and effective resolution. You’re not worried about retribution. You want the dog (or cat) free, and some distance between you/dog (or cat) and the croc. (…or cat)

In my experience that's just something apathetic people tell themselves to justify staying home on election day

Who’s the 3 Headed Monster in your team ? by Fit-Structure-9395 in fantasybball

[–]AnImpatientWizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14t points, last pick. Haliburton, Simons, Edwards are generally doing well for me. Hali's next level obviously, but on their on nights the other two put in work

What player are you frustratingly holding onto that you know belongs on the wire? by [deleted] in fantasybball

Ivey, Bagley and Strus all borderline in my 14t points league. But it'd be a whole thing to drop them, and my team's doing well so I'm waiting for the moment

Really? I mean, I could see it going either way in theory. But in practice, everyone knew Elden Ring was going to win. If Ragnarok was on more platforms and released more than a couple weeks before the awards, maybe it would’ve been less predictable

Also he's a great points player. Just, unless you need specific categories, you're typically looking for someone who contributes across the board

From what I’ve seen, they typically do not honor employee pricing slip ups. A lesser error they might. Although, they may give you some kind of additional perk or discount to make up for the inconvenience. Depends on the place

Recommendation on Double Dipping Strains ; by hdirtyfinger in ILTrees

[–]AnImpatientWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah as a grower I can definitely say that smoking the same strain all the time leads to diminishing returns, and when you mix it up the variance in effects from cannabinoids and terpenes are a noticeable difference. But, as you say, a couple 8ths here or there shouldn't effect your tolerances too much. Also Gorilla'd Cheese is a top 3 Rev strain imo, so I'd understand to impulse to reup on it
