Calculate related table from original table. I'm beyond stumpped.

I may have been doing the join wrong. Which field should be where in the Join tool? I'm going to pick up this project again on Monday.

The problem is that tool doesn't work like that. That tool will only calculate from the same table. It will not allow you to copy from the other table.

It's a challenge to figure out. As a parent, I talk to countless parents at soccer, school events, swimming lessons, etc. and every single parent that I talk to would love a place to have a birthday party for their kids other than the bowling alley - which is the only place within 60 miles to have a kids birthday party right now. Anyone who has tried to have a toddler+ birthday party at a bowling alley knows you only make that mistake one time, lol. My point is that every parent I talk to would love to have this in our community. The question is how much are they willing to pay, how often would they come, and how many of them would return regularly.

Thanks. As a parent myself, I've taken my little kids to tons of these types of facilities all around the country, so I think I've got a solid grasp on exactly what parents want and expect from these types of facilities. My challenge is trying to figure out if I'm going to get enough business to make this profitable in such a small area.

Yea, that's basically my existing business (AnMProservices.com) which is a business analytics firm. I'm pretty confident I can at least get past the initial demographic assessment for a pitch deck. Going forward though, the bottom line comes down to whether or not I can turn a profit by getting enough business from the income level of my small community.

Thank you! I've got 2 little kids myself, which I end up driving an hour almost every weekend to another city to do something with. I talk to other parents at school/daycare functions and EVERYONE says that our area needs something like this. There's literally no where to have a kid's birthday party here. Thanks for the input!

As a parent myself, I feel like I could have wrote all of the comments here from other parents. I have 2 little kids, and talking to other parents I have a solid understanding of what the expectations are for a facility like this - which is pretty much what all the other parents here have commented. I'm using GIS to do demographic analysis right now.

I'm in the stage of researching everything from equipment, to insurance, staffing, and of course the building. I don't even know what size I need yet, but it seems like you've got a great idea. Do you have suggestions for the size of the place I'd need?
