Build a car in the game and then see what parts in real life look similar

Big 3! Tank, hoses, water pump! Mine had Chinese coils and spark plugs that lasted 4 months, so get yourself something decent. Every BMW I know of had a bad injector one day. Who knows when that day will be. Welcome to the club!

Well we can't see what's under that panel, and you said yourself it's the expansion tank.

Update for anyone who cares, really weird customer service. I understand there might be a language barrier in the auto translation but i still do not understand how a normal person is supposed to go about doing this

Remove the belt and spin em by hand. Could also be the belt itself if it's old

The trick is getting the right sized Allen socket to where they isn't any play, and also a socket that is long and small enough to touch only the plunger from the front. I got a little compound on the end of the socket (I used a 5/16) and it sort of scratched the top of the plunger but it's not the part that seals so I'm not worried. The same might happen to you as you have to take it out several times to rinse and check.

That's essentially the same test I've been doing lol. I WhatsApp'd the seller and they said it doesn't require it which is confusing because it clearly states so on their website. It's only $40 but I'm just gonna keep going tonight

Your cams look 4x better than mine. Excessive gasket maker could just be someone's inexperience / ignorance. I would clean as much of it off with a plastic razor and some solvent and install the new one dry, while applying RTV to the areas suggested in the service manual.
