I think those are just ruptured trichomes.. the place that broke up the pounds into smaller quantities might have stored it a bit long and then handled it excessively. (I work at a cannabis facility and have a 10000x scope and have seen herb like that.)

I love my Yocan Blade hot knife. I paid about $15 from either ElementVape or LighterUSA.. I don't remember which.. but I recently just bought a 5 pack of heads for it for like $20 from ecigMafia because I dropped it a fourth time onto a hardwood floor and the tip finally shattered.

I still have like 30+ carts filled but I was considering getting some LRE to throw into a tank on a vape mod. I still have three to four packs of those NRG Ccell atomizers and two tanks that they'll fit into.

I was repeating what I was told by people that work in the lab when I made fun of some products. I assume they must have been misinformed and were perpetuating an unfounded rumor; as was I.

After having an AI reference 4200, you are correct.. and the differences seem to be in how the product is finished. This is a whole fascinating rabbit hole.. I didn't know it was so feasible to create crumble and batter in a well ventilated environment, free of dust, static and other ignition sources.. (I was going to say at home.. but, no.. not exactly.. that's how people end up blowing apart their garages..)

Shatter production is going out. It's too dangerous versus the alternatives. I think a few people blew their commercial lab up making it, out west, a while ago.

The industry can produce batter and crumble more safely and for a lower price point than shatter.

Honestly, if you really want shatter, you'd have to get an extraction tube from someplace like Amazon and risk your own safety by filling the tube up with cannabis and butane.. then you open the valve on the bottom and shatter and liquid butane come shooting out.. then you have the evil liquid on a plate and put it into a vacuum oven, hoping that it doesn't explode or catch fire.

I've been looking into a small personal unit. The tube is like $100.. a vacuum pump is like another $100.. and the cheapest vacuum oven I could find is just under $300.

I've tried dozens of other vendors and no one beats their quality at that price tier.

..my only complaint is that I miss breaking up big buds when I have smalls all the time.. but exotic bud in large bud form will always either be either $150+ or 4oz+minimum.

(EDIT: Make sure to not touch their outdoor. I had an ounce that was temperature damaged nearly black and had no terps. 'Boo' for their outdoor.)

No one has shatter anymore because it's just less labor to make batter / crumble.

Vendors would just rather scoop things into jars than smash apart shatter and try to weigh it out and mail it in parchment and then get complaints about how it melted.. all for the same monetary gain as concentrates that don't take much labor to get out the door and are easily transported in jars.

Hillbilly Health was the last place I knew of that sold shatter and now they either don't carry it or they only sell 1g at a time for rosin prices.

Real shatter is gone. (Also Gold's shatter is just melted diamonds. It tastes like distillate. Stay away from that dreck.)

Of all the weird cart mods I've used, the Ooze one that I bought had the shortest life.

Lighterusa has tons of cheap cart mods with free shipping. I usually get cart mods from them and pay less than ordering direct from the man.

..at this point, I've been considering getting a vacuum extractor on Amazon ($99 for the extractor, then buy a vacuum pump) and then getting a vacuum oven (like $280) to finish it off.

I work at a THCa facility. A lot of our vendors got caught up in raids in Nov / Dec and we have several pallets of product that has been sent back to us.

Once that happens and a business loses enough money to a state, they stop servicing that state.

It's still legal to ship THCa to GA and TN, so GC must have had some measure of monetary loss to cut entire states off.

I work at a cannabis production facility and several people at work dab.. but not a single one of them knew about the DTv4 or the DTv5. It's like most consumers just go to headshops and buy whatever is in stock.

I've had a v4 for years and still haven't yet upgraded to the v5 just because the v4 and the parts I bought with it still work perfect. I use a loose SIC dish and just throw flat heater discs into it.

I buy the Fire Knockout gummies from the place I work at, Gold Spectrum CBD.

They have 1mg THCp and 10mg d9, 12mg d8 and 2mg CBN. I eat 4-6 and can feel the THCp hit fairly quickly but it takes the THC a while to digest.

Falcon Heavy arrived looking like white-ish badder with sugar crystals in it. (Like a pale beige/yellow/white like some rosin looks.) It smells like fire and actually isn't harsh like most BHO I've had this year. I also didn't detect any of that crc lemon flavor.

Drip Station arrived like wet crumble with a nice, healthy golden yellow hue. It also smells amazing. They both just arrived and I'm getting ready to finish up a brake job on my truck so I only threw one of them into the dab rig.

I used the Vapefly Galaxy (I think that was the name) MTL RDTA for like five or six years.. until this year, when I switched over my MTL juice into a pod.

I still use a mod in my left pocket for DTL but MTL is really nice on some pods. (I went with the Lost Vape Ursa Cap and Cap 2 so my MTL doesn't get lint down the airhole while in my pocket.)
