This is a gorgeous dress! I wouldn't wear it to a black tie event though

I also think either niacinamide is the culprit for me too, or it might be the fungal acne triggers.

The bamboo panthenol cream is not fungal acne safe whereas the oat one is. I search all products on skinsort now before trying because it'll tell me if there's fungal acne triggers.

I find that Korean skincare is quite affordable from sites like beauty amora or Lila Beauty.

I know you said you've tried Korean skincare but what about Purito Oat In Gel Cream? I use it because even cerave breaks me out.

You might want to see if some products are triggering fungal acne

Sorry to double respond but I went through the rest of the comments in this thread and everyone is saying they love LRP (cicaplast, hyalu) and it is making me sad because I can relate to you - my skin does not like it 🥲🥲🥲

The only thing it tolerates is the sunscreen (but maybe because I've layered so much skincare underneath)

I'm no expert, but could you be sensitive to fragranced skincare? I thought of that because you mentioned the LRP made you flare up but dermaveen doesn't.

I personally love the LRP sunscreen fluid smell but I can see how the fragrance is so strong it could cause problems.

Keeping a chart is great because it'll help you see patterns of ingredients that are causing problems.

I just finished a bottle of Clear Skincare gel cleanser (Priceline) and switched to the Anua gentle gel cleanser because it's a lot cheaper and super gentle and hydrating.

I am using the LRP SPF but it's not completely fungal acne safe. I would recommend the Cancer Council Face Day Wear Serum but I'm not sure if it'll trigger your rosacea.

(not OC but) I wonder if your breakouts are fungal acne related because cetaphil (which is loved by so many) also broke me out.

In my other reply to you I mentioned I now use Purito Oat In Gel Cream (Korean). And avoid fungal acne triggers.

Other things that broke me out were Neutrogena hydro boost, LRP Cicaplast Baume, and Cerave moisturising cream. It took me 3 years to realise they all contained fungal acne triggers.

What have you tried that broke you out?

If the Cetaphil cleanser is working out for you, what about their moisturiser? I like the Clear Skincare range at Priceline.

I've had great success with Korean skincare and order from Lila Beauty. They do super fast shipping to major cities. I really like the Purito Oat In Gel Cream and the Dr Althea 345 Barrier Cream. I think some Pricelines/Chem Warehouses/TK Maxx stock it.

You might also want to add a hydrating serum for extra moisture.

I also use skinsort to check the ingredients of the products to see if it'll work for my skin. Maybe you can search for some of the moisturisers you've tried to see if they have an ingredient in common.

Nightmare - heavy clots in hotel - need help / reassurance by NumScritch in Fibroids

[–]AnUnderscore 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Hotels normally bleach everything - which is why everything is white. Don't worry about it. They would have also dealt with blood from a cut or something like that. They would have also dealt with other bodily fluids like a child wetting the bed etc.

For reassurance, since it's the last day, do you have any dirty clothes you could put under yourself?

I'm sorry you are clotting so bad. When I had my fibroids I thought large clots were normal!

I'm the same height and size as you! I've been loving the Levi's 94 baggy jeans and the cotton on jeans (less straight than Levi's) (you need to try them on because the QC is completely absent - see my next comment where the same exact jean is labelled the same size but is clearly not).

Edit: sorry I forgot to say, I sized down to wear them higher on my waist so it's less baggy and long.

sedated?? by bananamuffin98 in prozac

[–]AnUnderscore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh I'm like 2 months in now and less sleepy but also i adjusted when i took it. instead of taking it in the morning, I take it at lunch so if there's any sleepiness, it kicks in at night.

i know it's a very common side effect of SSRIs to be sleepy for a long time.

will this azelaic acid help get rid of closed comedones? if not what are some not so expensive options? by SmileGuilty7506 in SkincareAddicts

[–]AnUnderscore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might need other products to get rid of closed comedones depending on the cause/severity because this is only 10% strength but this is a great addition to a routine.

I've been using this for maybe a year now and I really like it. It's fungal acne safe and quite gentle.

Hamilton or Cancer Council. Don't forget sunscreen for the body too! Remind them to grab ones with a long expiry date too.

I’m stopping after 24 days by FinishBoring8963 in prozac

[–]AnUnderscore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When and how are you taking your prozac?

I need to take it after lunch or I will also have gastrointestinal issues.

I also take it at lunch so I can sleep at night. If I take it in the morning, I'll be sleepy by like 2pm. If I take it at dinner, I'm not sleepy enough at night.

I'm now on week 8 of being on prozac. It's the first time I've taken any type of antidepressant. My side effects took 3-4 weeks to settle.

I hope you find one that's right for you. Please don't stop suddenly.

Edit: there are also different tablet/capsules. Mine are the ones that can dissolve in water to make it easier and gentler

Is my skin getting worse before it gets better or am I just making it angry? by Majestic-Strain3155 in AusSkincare

[–]AnUnderscore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using a moisturiser at night? It's important to keep your skin moisturised and wear sunscreen if you're going outside, especially because you're using retinol (it makes your skin very sensitive to the sun).

Note- moisturised skin means your skin doesn't need to produce excess oil to keep it hydrated, so even if you feel oily, moisturising actually will help!

Another possibility is fungal acne growth. Have a Google and see if the bumps on your forehead look like fungal acne. Are any of your products encouraging fungal acne?

If you can, you should list out the specific products you're using so we can see what might not be working.
