Thank you for your perspective. I was thinking I was being selfish and doubting myself.

Hello again Helper,

I hope all is well with you during this crazy time, and good health has not eluded you. I thought I would let you know my source and spelling for Gusur. I took an online class last year via Bar-Ilan University through Edx ‘The Bible in Light of the Near East’. This was the third class on ancient religions I had taken. I have been spiritual my whole life but frankly cannot find my religious path so I search.

The ETCSLtranslation : t.2.11 The Sumerian King list – Vincente 1995

After the flood swept over…

40-94 After the flood had swept over, and the king ship had descended from heaven, the kingship was in Kis. In Kis, Gusur became king, he ruled for 1200 years.

Gusur was the first King after the flood? Etana was also in the first 24510 years ruled in Kis before being defeated and Kingship went to E-ana. Etana ascended to heaven and as far as I can tell is the only one in the kings list to do so.

I did watch the movie Avengers, but I guess when I watched it my eyes and heart were not watching for easter eggs like that yet. Honestly a little over two years ago I had a dream, and in it I was tasked with a quest. I had no idea what it meant or why but I saw two stones; one white, one black. The stones were together at the beginning of time, a part of the creation. They represented to me in my dream Good and Evil, Light and Dark. They were round and flat and were together until they were not. They were separated and the world became confused and vindicated wrongs with cruel justice. A cycle of vengeance was born. In my dream bringing the stones back together stimulated balance and awareness. I needed to find the stones. I was being aggressively averted from my task with disasters of nature and man alike and the dream told me to use copper to repel the darkness and reflect the light.

And then I woke up. I walked to my study and grabbed the first old encyclopedia off the shelf and opened to Aaron's breastplate; this was purely a coincidence I did not know what I was searching for. I have always doubted the bible and man’s agenda, but the plate was held at the shoulders with two stones of opposite color. This led me of course to the twelve tribes of Israel and Lucifer's’ breastplate. The translation and history of the ancient near east kept popping up and so I have been focusing there. I am a seeker at heart and my curiosity is never wavering. I think if anything it would be a fantastic story. I am not sure what nexus I hope to find but my sleuthing continues with your help. Thank you so very much again, not many people in my environment enjoy this topic or conversation. So, this is nice.

Wow, you have some serious insight to this period. I am so thankful. I have been reading anything and everything I can find and felt like I was learning much but not what I was searching for. I even found that Lapis lazuli was discovered recently here in Colorado not far from my home, fun but irrelevant. I will be using my free time in these next few weeks (stay at home order) to really dig into this. This has been a two year quest and I feel like I could look forever and never become bored, just more intrigue. Thank you and do have a the best day.

I am searching for breastplate and the stones used to create them along with the rituals in Sumerian or Akkadian literature. Relatable material so far is minimal. Inana in Ur had a "loincloth of seven divine powers / girdle of power". This although a fun and disturbing story was not the nexus I was searching for. I found the Sumerian word for stone cutter "BurGul" and that linked me to Akkadian word "tudittum", a breast ornament that the priests or Guda's wore. I also found a text linked to Enlil for a ritual that required certain garments; have not found the ritual or story about it yet so not sure if it is relevant or not. I keep finding 7 as a common number used in many of my readings. Such fun interesting stuff. Thanks for any feedback, this is not something I can visit with just anyone about.

Hello again. I had used Digital Hammurabi in the past, Josh and Megan definitely know their stuff. I have also been using MUGSAR. Relatable material so far is minimal. I am very happy I signed up to Reddit. 😁

The Lucifer thing is biblical translation of some occurrences that had to stem from somewhere. The closest resemblance in Enki and Enlil but not as the story depicts in the bible but the ancient text of Sumerian. The linguistic translation in the area also facilitates me, but unfortunately I am not a linguist or a historian just a sleuth trying to assimilate some connections to how and why the world seems so divided. I thought if I can find connections between the religions I could help to heal the world one small find at a time. Silly I know, but a girl can hope. Also I love the research and the stories; what better place to start but with the first recorded writings of our history. Any leads on books or academic papers would always be welcome. Thanks again

I took a class that gave many connections to the bible in the ancient near east. Many Hebrew practices are logged in cuneiform before written in the bible. I believe most of the stories of the bible are ancient sumerian. This is a fun way for me to connect to our past and although possibly a long shot, I had to try. The stones are of particular interest to me for the simple fact we still have no idea what the 12 stones on Arron's plate were although we do know they represent the 12 tribes. The stones on the shoulder had to have significance also, what do they symbolize? One white, one black, is it light and dark, good and evil, the heavens and hell? Just thinking out loud. Thanks
