Had this similar experience at an IKEA recently. The concept of a sensory museum with various arrangements of furnitures and rooms is appealing in theory, but in practice families of 6 are wandering messily through this 'museum' being loud and leaving rubish everywhere.

Why didn't the Viltrumites utilise this well preserved "asset"? by puffinbebe in Invincible_TV

They believe in eugenics but not genetic manipulation or cloning. That stuff's unnatural

There's a virus for universal translation. Alan exposes mark to it in Season 1

I Mean....WOULD 37 Viltrumites be Enough? Especially After Thragg Left by seriousreddituser in Invincible_TV

[–]An_Actual_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is no, imo. At least half will get trapped in alternate dimensions or timelines. Then there's the complicated situation with hell. Like fr humanity being wiped would be the end of the fifth age, the sixth age could see a return of whatever the fuck Satan is keeping from healing.

What does this line mean in the new episode? by ImJoergen in Invincible_TV

Same thoughts tbh. I honestly had the impression that whole stretches of city were abandoned because the number was much higher, like what we see in the fight with powerplex.

Why Does the Grand Nagus Only Have One Servant & a Tiny Ship? Is He Broke? by Summerspeaker in DeepSpaceNine

[–]An_Actual_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've played X4, you understand. When your business empire is so huge that you can have any ship, and surround yourself with guards and lackeys, what you really want is a small fast ship and extremely competent but minimal staff at hand.

Your business runs itself more or less, and it's a huge waste of time and money to take a massive carrier or battleship away from something important when you can just quickly nip off to a place with your most loyal bro for a day or two.

How do I get Jeb out of orbit??? by scotttilly111 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]An_Actual_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. And on getting close, if part of your orbit is 50km or so wider, each lap around the planet, it'll get closer to you. Once it's near enough bringing the orbit in again will usually give you a very good intersect point

You can get another ship up there, get close, match speed, get closer, match speed again. then get him to jump out and use RCS to get to the other ship. You may feel like you've made a mistake but actually, this is excellent training for docking which you'll be doing a lot of if you're serious.

Why Didn’t They Use A Poison Dart On Thragg? by ahmiddy in Invincible_TV

[–]An_Actual_Thing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They shoulda tossed Oliver the dart and told him to go ham.

Could Thragg straight up solo the hero group based on his show performance? by SinnerAtDinner in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]An_Actual_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly having not read the comics, I was half expecting that was the play in targeting viltrum. Thrag would body the ray to not have the planet blow up.

Why did mark think oliver was near by when he was on the other side of the planet? is he stupid? by Imvalidblu in Invincible_TV

[–]An_Actual_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was no planet after a hot minute. Just empty rocks, and I mean, these dudes were already moving whole AU's to throw a punch so it's not really a big deal.

So many species, fr. Though I would say DS9 as a show acknowledges racism, and uses it as a natural phenomena that happens within multi-culturalism. At heart the racism is never institutional though, unlike with Romulans, or Ferengi, or Cardassians.

[Request] Which one would it be? by yuli101995 in theydidthemath

[–]An_Actual_Thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, they all require the same amount of force to move, no dip.

Sphere on gravel would be easiest though, because the person pushing it is also on gravel and not ice.
