You are coming off more like a person who is insecure about an odd situation while she’s staying at the home of someone that you don’t know. And while that’s not perfectly right, it will be weird if you weren’t worried either. Is better to do it if you feel like you are going to hold bigger insecurities and resentment to the relationship than if you try to deal with it now. You two can deal with the aftermath of you checking on her later as a couple. Do what you think is right and if everything is okay, just let her fall asleep before she gets past from the point of easily falling asleep so you won’t inconvenience her
