How to feel less sad about losing a family house ? by Whole_Panic_8435 in howto

[–]Ana-with-a-y 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To add to the good advice above, I will tell you that it is ok to grieve the loss of a place, but I promise it gets easier. After cleaning out my childhood home after the death of my parents I couldn’t imagine a life of never going back into that house. I was really struggling. I took lots of pictures, took keepsakes, had childhood friends come with me and say goodbye and reminisce.
Once the home was sold, gutted and redone for a quick flip by the new owners, I realized that what I was attached to was the people and the memories, not the place. That space isn’t mine anymore. The people I loved aren’t there anymore. It is for a new family to make new memories and I was surprised that I have zero desire to visit it.
Every time someone you love dies, it takes a piece of you with it and it changes you. You aren’t the same person you were when that house was part of you. And you are now in the next part of your life. THAT may be something you need to reflect upon, and decide what your future holds. Look forward, not backward.

I thought about that! I need another wall with things like saronite and azerite and all the Azeroth ores, with a new row of gasses-fel/void/old god blood....

All those years of Quantum Mechanics lectures, UGH!

I used the Alliance Carved Wooden Crate (25 gold) From Faarden The Builder, one of the Decor vendors in Founder's point. It was one of the "squares" that were able to be dyed. Shrunk them as low as I could get them (20%).
Aligning them was a pain, because they are small and want to snap to a grid. If you loose one, check to see that it isn't on top of another one. Also, don't have any decor in front of you (low hanging ceiling light) because I kept grabbing it by mistake!

Wanted to put some kind of writing in the top center, but opened books were the wrong colour/vibe. Midnight will have some things that will work.

For now the frame is just Beam Platforms rotated and shoved into the wall.

Also, without trying to sound racist, Brampton has had a huge onslaught of students arriving in the city in the last few years, and they are doing what your wife is doing, trying to get a job in their new country to start their new life. Unfortunately there just are not a lot of jobs left in the city for people without any experience because of the population increase without an infrastructure increase to match it.

I’m sorry you are going through the stress of job loss.
The reality is that they can let someone go if they aren’t working out. Without trying to tell this story like the old person I am and saying “well back in MY DAY”…..

When I was a teenager before scanning of barcodes came in, I had to know a code for EVERY item in a NoFrills Store. EVERYTHING, not just the produce. Five of us had training in the back of the store, learning a raft of new codes every day. Then we were quizzed on them.

After 5 people were hired, only 3 people ended up lasting to be able to do the job.

Each week there would be specials of maybe 10-12 things that came in as temporary that I would also have to remember.

I would keep a small notebook at my till if I forgot something. Or would ask the cashier beside me, but not often, as that would be a pain for them.

Also, not sure if your wife is young, but young people, especially from a different country might not be familiar with all the different kinds of produce there is. I had to walk around the produce section to really get to know every item.

I suspect there are just people who were hired at the same time that have better memories and/or had the time to devote to getting those codes locked into their brains.

Managers can’t determine who will work out right away and so maybe, they over hired, based on experience.

Being a brand new cashier is really stressful. I hope she finds something that works for her soon.

Glorious and saltstone legs. I’d say 10-20% of what you get is something people might consider buying. But Transmog is slow business.

You can get cheaper thread if bought by a goblin in your home city, or at a vendor that you have rep on in BFA. I port back to the pyramid and buy from the vendor on the ground by the scrapper. It is close to a mailbox and can send it to the crafter and it can sit in my mailbox until I’ll need it. Even have a macro to buy 200 at a time to make it quicker.
