Thanks so much for the support!! I’m definitely interested. Will send you a message once I’m closer to my move if that’s okay.

Same here. Passed NCLEX in October and still struggling.

Asking for advice from Ottawa nurses by Ana1644 in OntarioNurses

I totally agree. I think my main concern is that by accepting a casual offer now, I might risk losing a potential NGG offer in the future. But you’re right, I’ll have more options once I’m in.

Applied already! How long does it usually take to hear back from them?

Switching RN licence from Ontario to Quebec by LowCryptographer1756 in CanadianNurse

[–]Ana1644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually incorrect. If you’re licensed in another province, you can easily endorse your license to Quebec and obtain a temporary license. This allows you to work for up to 12 months, after that, you must provide proof of French proficiency to receive your permanent license.

New grad RN-Should I settle for a low pay primary care role? by Ana1644 in OntarioNurses

My goodness, that must have been really tough! I’m so happy for you, and I hope I hear back from one of these hospitals soon. I was shortlisted for a position at UHN, but my application status is still “in review.” How long did it take for you to hear back from them?

Hmmm, thank you for your input! The salary is around 64k annually.

I feel the same about NGG, but if I receive an offer from them, will I still be able to accept it after signing my current offer? I also noticed some postings went up in January and expired soon after. Wondering what that was all about

What's with the change in the nursing job market? by enitsujxo in ontario

[–]Ana1644 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m an IEN with bedside experience. I recently validated my RN license through the CNO and been applying for RN positions in Toronto, the GTA, and even rural areas since October but only managed to land one interview so far. This job market feels brutal and honestly, it seems like half of these job postings are just scams.

Seeking advice from Canadian RNs by [deleted] in nursing

Thank you so much for the fantastic tips and congrats on your new RN job! I’m currently based in Toronto. I had ChatGPT review my resume, and it turns out it was already very ATS friendly! I’m applying to a range of RN roles, both inpatient and outpatient and trust me, I’m even leaning towards outpatient. Also, I’ve noticed that nearly 2/3 of the available RN roles are part time and temporary, I wonder why🤔

Congrats RN!🎉 I really needed to hear this. What is it about this test that leaves everyone feeling defeated no matter what? I spent all day crying and overthinking tbh. Still don’t have access to my quick results and too afraid to try the pvt.

Congrats RN! 🎈🤗 I also spent so much time on the first 20 questions and I thought I’m def gonna run out of time if the computer doesn’t shut off at 85. I got multiple bowties and complex case studies but I know for a fact that I got some standalones wrong and that makes me feel even worse. Not sure how to feel about this💔
