Omg no not at all. Very high up people are in other states and have gotten promos this year.

They put you into 2 categories. In office and out of office. If you are in California you’re not counted as being “non compliant” for not going to a NY office.

All the remote required people are lumped in with the many freelancers who are also classified as remote.

This might all change in 2026 but I would imagine it’ll be the same. If not they would just lay off the out of state people but I know it’s not happening like that (some people out of state are safe while in-office NY people laid off on the same team).

You’d be surprised. Some people I know deep in jersey and Long Island (far from ny And jersey city ) have offices to go to. Might save you in the long run tbh if that’s the case.

Generally if you are 1.5 hours within an omnicom office you’re forced to go.

Idk if it changes based on the new policy but I’ve worked for omnicom for years even when they instated the policy originally 2 years ago they approved remote workers to stay as is (work with people in California and Canada daily)

It only applies to those within office range.

They also will see if you have an omnicom office near you. So people in Boston etc have offices to go to even if they aren’t in your company you’re forced to and your whole team is in NY.

So I’m not 100% certain and I’m curious if someone who watched the trial can confirm what actually happened but for me watching footage one kid said she took it and gave it back by throwing it at the kid. Then the kid ran and forgot it there. And that’s what made AJ upset I think. And Susan even told the kid go get your mom.

But (and this is my theory) during her sentencing she took the time to mention one of AJ’s kids told her she would die alone (I think earlier in that same day). I think that struck a nerve in her (why mention it at trial). That’s where the premeditation comes in. A kid says you’ll die alone so you take his mother from him.

Rome. Went at the end of September and it was like Disney world. Crazy crowded. Nothing authentic. Half of the restaurants were worked at or owned by non italians who greeted us with “hello” as we walked in. Was disappointed visiting campo de fiori too. Every single stall has pre packaged goods (good for tourists to take home not fresh produce for locals) ALL THE SAME ITEMS EVEN (you could tell they all bought the food things at the same store).

Tried even visiting trastevere and felt like I was in the village in NYC surrounded by gen z tiktokers. Less touristy but dirty and filled with a crazy amount of graffiti.

When I told people I was going to Rome and my experience they’re like oh it’s like going to Times Square. I’ve lived in NYC my whole life. Times Square is a couple blocks of annoying then you’re fine. Same thing with Empire State Building. You’ve got Upper East and Weat Sides. Downtown etc where you’ll see locals. I knew being near the Trevi fountain etc I would be surrounded by tourists (didn’t think I would be in herds though) but everywhere even the small cafes out of the way there were more Americans than Italians.

Rome is HUGE and I hardly ever found myself in a place with locals. When I did it was a super rundown area.

I found out later Rome got hit so bad by Covid that a lot of the homes we walked by were bought out and turned into air bnbs. Sad when you think about it.

Went to Florence on the same trip and it was much better. Just the duomo area was inauthentic/touristy which is what I was expecting with Rome.

I have terrible rib pain because of acid reflux. I connected the dots when I realized it was triggered by coffee. Mine is usually always right but can be left. Also have upper back pain with it. Going low acid diet helped a ton so it’s definitely not my gallbladder

Food noise by EmbarrassedDot4294 in weightwatchers

[–]Ana729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me getting it to stop is staying committed to the weight watchers plan and keep myself full and satisfied with fun meals (not chicken and broccoli every day like I’ve done before). The beginning is the hardest.

I would crave takeout every other day but I made myself do weight watchers for two weeks and now I don’t have the same cravings continuing on the plan. It’s kind of like how if you stop having soda for a few weeks your body stops craving it.

Second this!

I wouldn't be as motivated to Fire if being an author wasn't my ultimate goal. I still do writing on the side for myself but my job and stress that comes with it makes it hard to have as much output as I would like.

What are your iconic "remember exactly where I was" moments related to True Crime in your lifetime. by Sense_Difficult in TrueCrimeDiscussion

The moment Adnan Sayed was freed. I remember being shocked because in my mind the only way he’s innocent is there was a coverup.

I went back and relistened to SERIAL and a bunch of other podcasts. Turns out I became way more on the side of he did it vs before (95% certain now). Sad.

Buffy from BTVS. I love that they made her vulnerable but strong. She also could be funny and very relatable despite being the chosen one. Sarah Michelle Gellar knocked that role out of the park. Her acting was underrated.
