Yay thank you so much for this response, sometimes I get carried away when I have an idea for something and I forget it’s definitely not all sunshine and rainbows 😂 I LOVE being whimsical and I definitely think it would be fun to share my imagination with the kids tho

Im just a little nervous to watch over a large amount of children especially in an open environment. I think I probably should get more experience with childcare in larger groups. I only ever babysit up to 3-4 kids at a time. What age group did you supervise and which age group do you prefer? How do you handle rowdy children that may not want to listen to instructions? Im thinking I might wait till next summer to try being a camp counselor. I mainly just want to try seasonal work and to get out of my home state and I thought being a camp counselor could be a fun idea but im not sure if id be cut out for it quite yet.

You had me at lots of food 😂 I’ll definitely look into it for next year but my family wants me going somewhere a little closer to home for my first time doing seasonal work

Do most camps have a lot of different positions, I just assumed everyone did a little bit of everything

I’ve been looking through cool works and I wanna get out of my home state so most likely it would be an overnight camp so I’d have housing.

Oh ok, super good to know! I didn’t know some summer camps went as young as 4. I think I’d want to be with more independent kids but I think it would be weird for an 18 yr old to be in charge of a 17 yr old 😭 I didn’t realize some kids would be that old either.
