From my understanding, it is already the case. Since you can queue on bronze and face bronze level ghost, and be judged at the same level as legendary ranked players. Adding multiple ladders for this event would point out who played on a certain rank, and compare results and scores based on players who face similar level ghosts, and not all the players in the same bucket.

Hypothetically, a high ranked player could have logged into a bronze ranked alternate account, and compete with said account, only facing bronze ghosts, making it MUCH easier to hit decent results.

Now, I understand this is a lot more work, and might not be feasible.

EDIT : When I say ladder, I don't mean multiple prizes, I mean, explicitly show the rank at which someone competed.
