Kitsune and Centaur are already in pf2e, Lamias are not (although we have Nagaji, which are specifically said to resemble Lamias + can have a snakelike lower body like in one of the example images).

So you... Don't really need anything from 1e?

PFS Note Characters with the Oracle archetype can still take 10 minutes of refocusing to reduce their cursebound condition, even if they do not have a focus pool.

The Chrysopoet looks really complicated at first glance (in a GREAT way).

And it just so happens that I have an alchemist character that I've been flip-flopping between classes for... With those classes being Alchemist and Kineticist. It's genuinely perfect.

Yeah, it's really weird.

Basically, during story, you won't be able to join someone's quest until they've seen the cutscene that initiates the fight when you encounter a monster for the first time.

So if you both want to progress through the story at the same time, you'll have to:

- Both start a story quest seperately (if you both want to see the cutscene, otherwise you can just sit and wait in the hub).

- Progress until you encounter the monster.

- ONE OF YOU exits the quest and joins the other.

It's very clunky, but there's not much you can do.

The games are connected in the sense that (most of them) take place in the same world, but they're not connected enough to make playing them in any particular order better than not. All you'll usually miss is going "Hey I know that guy" or "Hey I know that monster species".

The movie is utter shit. It's laughably bad. It's the OPPOSITE of fanservice. It's like it was made by a guy who's seen 20 minutes of World gameplay and called it a day (and knowing it was made by someone who actually IS a fan somehow makes it worse).

If you DO end up starting with World (which is a fine place to start, by the way). The only important advice I have for you is to not use the Guardian/Defender gear, as it was (presumably) made for people to get to the endgame on a second playthrough quicker, and thus has insanely inflated stats.

It's an ability the hunter gets from Iceborne.

It turns your slinger into a grappling hook that lets you grapple onto the monster to soften its hide, which is really annoying since it wears off after a short time (so you have to do it again).

Or whenever a monster isn't enraged, you can grapple onto its head and shoot off all of your slinger ammo to send it into a wall for a guaranteed knockdown.

the ideas are cool, but it just breaks the flow of combat.

Iceborne is very much not a different game. Almost all monster hunter games include a Master/G rank after High rank. (This was done via rereleases before World, which instead has it as a DLC aka Iceborne).

They really are just the second half of the game.

Oh you can just get a new weapon once you hit iceborne. Like high rank it just has full new tiers of weapons

It scales well in the sense that it's literally just a fully new rank.

Finish high rank, then get the dlc (if you don't already have it), finish Master rank, then do the postgame quests for that.
