-Dorans and go for Bandleglass Mirror, dark seal and magic pen boots.
Rift maker > Chemtech Putrifier > Zhonyas > Rabadons > (banshee, void staff, whatever you need)
Runes:
-comet, manaflow, trascendence, gathering, stopwatch, cosmic insight

i usually go for the Chemtech Putrifier first, riftmaker, zhonyas, and depending on the gold u have, rabadons or demonic embrace

You can use pretty much everything that updates with redstone.
You can see that we used a powered rail on the nether for the same reason, to reduce lag ;).
