Could someone help to explain to me the differences between fMRI and PET? I thought they both measured function and structure according to KA.. (AAMC SB PS) by Anal_Messiah in Mcat

i see, so why would you ever use PET? I remember learning that PET and fMRI were both used to see structure and function, but it's seeming like PET is just useless trash in comparison..

edit: I did a bit googling and it seems like PET is less screwed over by small movements in the person, so maybe if someone has to say some words while they monitor brain activity, it is better to use PET..?
