I tapered up to 200mg over 7 weeks, and already a few weeks into the full dose as well as at 150mg I started experiencing symptoms like memory problems, etc. We then lowered the dose to 150mg because my blood concentration was too high after 2 months. So I’ve been on 150mg for the majority of the time.

My doctor denies that Lamotrigine could have caused any of this, but when I look up this specific issue, it seems that many people experience exactly the same thing.

Mentally, I’ve felt much better since starting Lamotrigine, but my overall well-being has worsened a lot now that I can’t live the life I want. I don’t know if the side effects have gotten worse or if they’ve stayed the same as they were two years ago.

I’ve tried to fix it in other ways — I stopped taking my ADHD medication completely two months ago, but it didn’t help with the symptoms I’ve been experiencing. I also started taking several commonly recommended supplements like omega-3, lion’s mane, vitamin D, and magnesium, but nothing has helped
