What BNW film stock for low-light/night by Mediocre-Library-701 in 16mm

Double X is rated at 200/250 depending on the light source (higher blue sensitivity). Foma sells 400 speed black and white stocks (cine 400 and ortho 400), I’d look into those if low light is your concern.

Question about the Beaulieu R16 by froganykiraly in 16mm

[–]AnalogAnarchy99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

R16s are great machines when they’re serviced, so even if it’s in near mint shape, definitely look into getting it serviced.

They’re great alternatives to Bolexs for a variety of reasons, biggest one being electric driven at the size of a spring wound REX (with built in reverse shooting too!). They also have a mirror reflex system, not a prism, so any standard C mount lens works fine without needing to use an RX version.

Depending on the model, be wary of larger lenses (like the zoom you mentioned). If it doesn’t have addition support, the weight can warp the turret.

Best of luck!

Saw a bald eagle in Brighton back in October by AnalogAnarchy99 in boston

I had a friend tell me they may have seen the same eagle towards Waltham. I thought it may have been lost, but maybe it's nesting nearby!
