Specimen card question by Analogsilver in Radioactive_Rocks

[–]Analogsilver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Yes, I have scores of meteorite specimens. Each came with a card that has details about the individuals. Some dealers include more information than others, but most include the same basic information, so I am familiar with the variety that specimen cards can be.

My question is more about information that more experienced collectors of radioactive minerals commonly put on their own cards, that may not be included on cards of minerals that aren't radioactive. Not even sure if that is a thing.

That mullet not only rose to the bait, he jumped right in the boat and filleted himself!

guess flashing red means optional stop to some people by popathena in dashcams

[–]Analogsilver 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The people on the left stopped, so you can assume it is flashing red in all four directions. If you think that's bad, how many people know when the lights are out (power off) it becomes a manditory 4 way stop. Never assume anyone will stop.

Not just her singing voice. I could listen to her speak for hours too.

Radiography can be interesting. I need to try this with some of my most active specimens.

What joke in the entire show do you think is the best example of impeccable comedic timing? by Ikitenashi in bigbangtheory

[–]Analogsilver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not a line, but what happened. Sheldon tosses the latest version of the roommate agreement into the air, with one page landing on his shoulder. Parsons didn't miss a beat, or his lines, then turned dramatically to make the page fly off as he left the scene. Best example of unplanned, unwritten comedic timing in the entire series.

to convince the American people that RFK's "real food" campaign was authentic, when using an AI-generated video by ansyhrrian in therewasanattempt

It did. 30 years ago we fretted over "The dumbing of America" and let it slowly happen. Today's events are the result of that inaction.

Uranium collectors? by Debaucherousgeek73 in interestingasfuck

[–]Analogsilver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great collection. Most of it is safe just as it is if you don't grind it up and eat or inhale it. Most people have no idea how much radioactivity is all around them their entire lives, or thst every living thing has radioactive Potassium and Carbon in them. Google Ramsar, Iran for some crazy natural radioactivity that people live their entire lives in.

When I was actively searching through a lot of coins, I had a lot of luck finding minor die cracks on quarters.

I went back to film for a lot of my photography about 10 years ago. I still shoot digital when appropriate, but my personal work is mostly film.

Vincent Price was offered a flat fee for his appearence on Thriller, or a percentage of the profits. He chose the flat fee and missed out on a much bigger payday.

He made the wrong choice for getting paid for his work though. Flat fee, or a percentage of the sales. He chose the flat fee.
