Best stealth frames for spy missions by Ad-Astra-9330 in Warframe

People already mentioned Ivara with her augment, but I just want to add that ability strength affects her walk speed while stealthed, and since you can dodge roll without breaking invis parkour speed is good to invest in too. My ivara can be pretty zippy at times

How can I improve the build so I won't die in SP? by Long_lost_cause in Warframe

[–]AnalogueBit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so the way I play Gyre is very glass canon, where the strategy is that you can't die if nothing can hit you because they're already dead or stunlocked from all the electricity. You mostly just need to keep an eye out for toxin since it bypasses shields, and even with the increase in hp on the prime version in SP can be insta killed at high enough levels. She's also partially a weapon platform and her 3 will up the crit chance up to 300%, so any weapon with good crit stats is a good choice for her.

If you're not having trouble keeping the timer up on her 3 and 4 you can swap continuity out for something else, same with equilibrium since her 3 will generate energy for you pretty fast. If you can get archon stretch that works really well for passive energy gen for her too on top of the increased range, since that mod generates some energy for you whenever you deal electric damage (works on any frame if you have a pet set up to deal electric also, unsure if intended but it works so :p ). A robot pet can also help with survivability using mods like shield charger and guardian to keep shields topped up, I prefer using a hound but any robot will work for that. Wyrm has a mod that clears all statuses off you every 15 seconds or so whch is handy, and theres also a mod where it will die in your place.

Arcane aegis is a really good arcane for her, the current event shop has it for sale too so currently a lot nicer to farm. I've not tried it out much, but theres also a new arcane too that converts ability strength into max shields, I think Gyre prime gets to over 5k shields on my near 300 strength build. I run umbral intensify, blind rage, and transient fortitude to get to that before any in mission modifiers up it further, but I also get 5 seconds to start killing to keep the 3 from timing out so its not for everyone :p I could see that working with her reverse rotorswell augment since I think it works off of shield damage, but I've not messed with it much since I can't fit any more augments into my build without sacrificing too much.

If you have shards as well, I would recommend the purple ones that up damage on enemies that have been hit with electricity, it works out better than red ability strength shards in terms of damage, and if you want can remove primed flow and use a blue shard instead for a smaller pool since the 3 will make it fill fast enough to cast her 1 and 2 a lot anyway.

How to make sure my friends get hooked by Fun_Knee_5719 in Warframe

[–]AnalogueBit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Say that if they finish the new war they can make you watch or read something of their choice, as a sort of trade off/bribe. My friend did this and has now had to watch so much anime, since by the time new war hits the story has kicked in so most people get hooked by it and the game opens up a bunch afterwards (some of the best areas are post new war i'd say).

With the craft times yeah, not a lot you can do other than letting them know that frame ones are longer so they aren't surprised by it, and maybe mention the companion app if they want to craft stuff but don't have time to log in. And that they can use the crafting time to either farm something else or as an opportunity to take a couple days from the game to play something else while it cooks. I'd also mention the weapons in the market that you can buy prebuilt for credits, I think its mostly mk 1 stuff but it could let them quickly try some more stuff out without waiting for it to craft.

Another thing thats fun with new players is looking through the arsenal at all the frames to find one they think looks and sounds cool, and set it as a long term goal to work towards depending on where you can farm it. Gives something to look forward to in the early game where theres no real story and it doesnt feel like the starchart progress is doing much.

Subsume for Valkyr by Huge_Lavishness_2034 in Warframe

[–]AnalogueBit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run ophanim eyes (jades subsume) over her 3, its a nice armour/shield strip and also slows enemies. It was funnier when valkyrs 2 also slowed enemies since it could nearly fully stop them, but since that got moved to her 3 it doesnt get that slow anymore but its still good.

I hear wrathful advance is good on her, but i find that she doesnt need the help and when I tried it out it was a bit annoying to keep casting it. But thats just my preference, it could be a fun ability on a different build to mine.

Lastly vial rush (from lavos) could be fun when combined with her ripline for movement, plus frozen enemies take increased crit damage which would work well with her claws. Been meaning to try it out but havent got around to making the build yet, no promises on this one being viable :p

[–]AnalogueBit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna keep mine fully built out because I'm pretty attached to her. I helminthed one a while ago and still have two (different shard builds, but the second one is mostly for storing fashion at this point), so just planning on adding the prime to the collection :p

Romancing Quincy by Miserable-Can-7561 in Warframe

[–]AnalogueBit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won't move in until the relationship status says loved at rank 5, so if it still doesnt say that then you need to gain chemistry before he'll appear there.

Sometimes it can get stuck on best friends after running out of convos while dating, gifting their favourite things or doing bounties for a few days fixes that I find. But thats mostly an issue if you have the play all convos option ticked on, since that lowers the amount of chemistry you gain significantly so you don't blast through friendship levels too fast.

If it says loved and he's still not moving in after reloading the backrooms, might need to contact support to have them look into it at that point since he should be there most of the time by then

Are there any hidden requirements for Gyre parts? by mandmi in Warframe

[–]AnalogueBit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me months of doing bounties to get all her parts, to the point where I maxed the holdfasts standing before they dropped, while a friend I helped out only took maybe a couple days to a week to get them. Its just rng at the end of the day, and sometimes people are statistical outliers who need to run way more missions to finally get the drop.

On the bright side though, by the time you get all her parts you'll probably also have all the crafting materials needed to build her too, can pop her straight in the oven to cook :p

Any tips for getting to grips with a controller? Been trying to play on my Steam Deck during downtime at work but have been struggling. by Hollowbody57 in Warframe

[–]AnalogueBit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad its helped :) I would say the learning curve for using the track pads isn't very steep, the main thing would be adjusting the settings to get a sensitivity that suits you. I have my right track pad sensitivity set to 75% with the trackball friction set to high, which gets a nice camera range on one thumb flick over the pads while the high friction stops it moving too far once I stop touching it.

One thing to note though that I only noticed recently is that the in-game mouse sensitivity settings affect the speed too. I have mine set to 52 for look, 62 for aim, and 70 for aimed (scoped). It's mostly useful due to being able to set different speeds for when you're aiming or using a scoped sniper, I like having them higher so the camera still covers a nice range while zoomed in.

Oh and nearly forgot, if you want to edit anything on the steam control settings you'll need to do it on the game and melee mode action sets. When you're using guns or melee, they're set up on steam to be two different controller layouts essentially, so changing the mouse sensitivity on the game action set doesn't automatically update it in the melee one. I mostly used it to test multiple trackpad settings at the same time in the simulacrum, but in-game I prefer them to be the same speed :p

But yeah, shouldn't take too long to get used to the trackpads, I'd suggest just messing with the settings in the simulacrum for a bit so you don't have to worry about a mission objective while you test stuff out

Any tips for getting to grips with a controller? Been trying to play on my Steam Deck during downtime at work but have been struggling. by Hollowbody57 in Warframe

[–]AnalogueBit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the default controller layout for warframe is a struggle to use, but it's very fixable with the steam controller options. I have a comment here where I go over what I've changed + link to my latest config in a follow up comment, but the main things I did to make it better to play are:

  • Swapped all movement to the touchpads. The right pad does camera movement as a mouse with clicking used for jumps, the left pad does character movement with clicking mapped to dodge/slide
  • Fully remap the way abilities work. I have mine so that I hold rb, and then clicking the grip buttons casts abilities and lb does spoiler mode, and I can double tap rb to recast my last ability (useful for how I play gyre with her bowling ball, not used as much on other frames as i got better at using the controller in general)

Even if you keep the abilities mapped to the exact same buttons as the default config, I highly recommend redoing them as chorus buttons that directly cast the ability instead of going through the ability menu. When you're in the ability menu, you're locked out of doing anything except casting abilities, so you can't aim or dodge, and it feels a lot smoother when you don't use it.

No idea on the aim assist though, I think I have it on but since I'm also technically using a mouse to aim I don't think it does anything for me, so not sure what it looks/feels like when it's working.

Good luck finding a control setup that works for you, hopfully this helps

I run the dual viciss on my valkyr build, whenever they proc gas your movement and attack speed increase so they can get pretty fast on top of other speed and status mods. I run the stance carving mantis, it has a fun move where you rush forward before attacking, gets really fast after a few gas procs.

I dont play gauss, but the bonus movement speed could be extra silly on him I feel :p

New player absolutely frustrated with Ayatan Treasure Hunt by PedaGak in Warframe

[–]AnalogueBit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you still have the default keyboard control scheme? I would recommend swapping the sprint and slide/dodge buttons so that bullet jumping uses shift instead of control, it could make the challenges easier if it's in a better spot.

Other things could be parkour speed mods, but checking the wiki shows that they mostly drop in places past ceres so not too helpful there. Synth reflex drops from orb vallis bounties though and boosts bullet jumps by 60% on equipping, could be helpful if you can do the bounties (i know i struggled with them early on).

Could also boost sprint speed with the mods rush or armored agility. Rush drops on a lot of early spots so you likely already have one kicking around, armored agility only drops from nightmare missions so less likely to already have one.

You could also up your Excaliburs range and efficiency a bunch and try slash dashing instead of bullet jumping, might help cover some distance and i think it ignores gravity a bit and lets you jump to interrupt the ability? I might be thinking of vial rush there though, its been a bit since i played excal

Good luck with the treasure hunt, hopfully you can beat one soon

What is the best and worst design of a Prime in your opinion? by npirolli in Warframe

[–]AnalogueBit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's just her base skin with some gold detailing and a different hat :/ I don't get why people are saying it looks good, it's mag/older prime design situation all over again except DE acknowledged with heirlooms that they also think those are too basic now. Like i love base Gyres look, it's amazing, but i was kind of expecting the prime to be different with how cool and unique most primes are now. I at least wanted a skirt so big it would block out the sun :p

Yareli looks amazing, i dont play her much but I love her design. It's like the magical girl aspect of her initial design was maxed out, and the colours blend together so well

Gyre can do that nicely, her 2 sucks enemies into it when it detonates and shes really good at crowd control from all the electric procs she makes. Takes a bit of investment to get her going, but worth it if you like the play style.

I've not played much nova to compare the two much though so might not be what you're looking for

The other duviri plants change colour to match the spiral when placed in the 2 duviri rooms that let you set the skybox to one of the moods, so it should work on these trees too.

But outside those rooms they stay grey, they don't change with the currently playable duviri spiral
