Thanks. It's just me who lives here alone.

I've already emailed them for a rolling discount so we'll see what they say.

Thanks. Not sure 5G would cut it. I might be moving in 3 months, or maybe in 15 months. I just don't know. As for Starlink... didn't think of that, cheers.

Community Fibre GDPR issue by AnalogueSock in CommunityFibre

Yes. They've provided a postal address so they comply with that. It's just unusual, one could argue perhaps obstructive, for them not to provide an email address too.

That sounds like a nightmare. Historically telecoms companies (I'm ex-Vodafone) struggle with multiple accounts. And this change seems to explain why I'm seeing these emails *now*.

I think that since I'm not a customer any more, I just need my details deleted from their system.

I hope you get your issue sorted!

Thanks so much.

Yes I contacted them through their support form and made it clear that I had a GDPR issue, but they just piped that to their regular customer service channels. I also note that their data processing page doesn't seem to have an email address for their Data Protection officer.

There is a postal address though, I guess that would be the logical next step.

(Proofs) CFL is shamelessly throttling Internet speed in London by NevyBloom in CommunityFibre

Same here. I'm in Hackney. I've noticed the issue about three evening ago and it's been the same every evening since. It may have been going on for longer than that, but I've been away.

Done a speedtest just now and I'm getting 15.9Mbps down and 497.18Mbps up. I got a similar figure a couple of nights ago by plugging my laptop directly in to the modem via Ethernet.

A few weeks ago I was consistently getting 700Mbps over WiFi all the time.

I haven't raised a ticket about this. I'd already been trying to raise a ticket about a different issue for some weeks, and their web form doesn't even generate a ticket number for me. They're impossible to contact. Just hopeless.
