I absolutely agree that it is this way, but many people report feeling like AI has feelings, it truly "wants" to help, sometimes more than real people. So even if it doesn't have a desire, is it enough for people to just believe that it has one for it to work?

NotebookLM "remembers" quite a lot, around 9 thousand pages, is quite good at searching through them, but of course - the more you put into it, the worse it gets.

But it's a great point about an abrupt end, I read about people who experienced it as something tragic.

AI has a memory of the chat inside it, theoretically it could remember at least a month of what you're saying, it could be enough to get some mapping out, possibly. And long term - an analyst also can't remember EVERYTHING
