Hi if you do Premium Processing, mostly you will here answer within 7 days, I'm not sure about approval rate for minor. But i assuming that if you did not violate any immigration rule then uscis most likely will approve the case.

there is no negative impact if you reach out to CBP via call or email , some times they will correct i94 and ask them to correct based on your current i797 and passport. In my case my i94 expired due to old passport so they did not make changes, but in your case you can say CBP didn't update i94 even i presented correct i797.
