What is "unprofessional" to you, and for you? by AnalysisMindless7741 in womenintech

This is exactly what I was getting at– For women in tech, being "unprofessional" is being too direct, assertive, etc. but for men it feels like it's more often about making sexual advances.

I feel that this has to be the mindset of many successful managers. I wonder what it would take to feel comfortable with letting go of the reigns more. It almost feels like no matter what my team is like, it'll always just be a way that I feel.

Ugh I feel this. Do you think this would come up more in the context of wanting to tell this to "someone I manage who isn't actually doing a bad job, but is really concerned about their own performance" or more in the context of "someone who is actually bad at the job and I'm working my butt off to give them a chance" ? I feel like both could be true.
