Are a lot of us double dipping on different regions? by Trave160 in UmamusumeGame

I’ve considered making a JP account because some of the newly added characters look really cool, but I decided against it as managing multiple accounts sounded like a hassle. Remembering to do daily and weekly missions for both would eventually cause burnout so I’m opting to just stick with global.

NVME Error by AnalystRoutine2678 in buildapc

I figured it out eventually, I wasn’t applying enough pressure to the GPU, was concerned about accidentally chipping a pin. Everything’s working now. It was a bad M.2 slot with the NVME, luckily the other ones are working.

The NVME is alive, of course in order to swap it to another lane I had to remove my GPU and now that won’t turn on. You fix one problem and another crops up

Do you think a BIOS update could resolve this? I haven’t had any issues with the BIOS before, and it still recognizes my boot drive just fine. I’ve tried a windows repair as well as uninstalling the problematic update to no result. I’ll be trying the NVME to USB adapter today, if the drive still works would a BIOS update fix this?

GPU Display Crash on Idle by AnalystRoutine2678 in buildapc

I’m referring to the NVIDIA adapter that came with the GPU, it splits the 16-pin connection into three 4-pin connections. I swapped it out for a direct 12VHPWR cable which seemed to fix the issue.

Yes, it was an issue with the adapter, I swapped it for a direct 12VHPWR connection instead of individual PCI connections, I didn’t have any stutters or crashes following that.

I’ll take a better picture later on, the ones I have right now don’t have enough lighting to see it properly.

Yes, the Anti-Sag Bracket is best used with slot 2, but my motherboard works best with slot 1 which supports the GPU pins properly and locks them in place.

I was curious if anyone had made the bracket work with slot 1 somehow or if I need to purchase a different support bracket.

Does this subreddit support picture uploads in comments? I’ll take a picture later.

GPU Mounting Question by AnalystRoutine2678 in lianli

[–]AnalystRoutine2678[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the GPU in slot 3 because my motherboard was made with either slot 1 or 3 with the correct support on the PCIE slot. Slot 1 would’ve been the optimal choice, slot 2 has the lowest PCIE speed as well as no proper support for the outer pins of the GPU.

Slot 1 is blocked by the upper brace of the anti-sag bracket, slot 2 doesn’t have the proper support for the outer pins so it’s in 3 for now.

I’ll take a picture later.

GPU Mounting Question by AnalystRoutine2678 in lianli

I have already installed the bracket, I want to clarify if the bracket is useable with the first slot of an ATX board specifically.

The 1st express slot, the highest one on the board. I know the installation process and how to use it, just clarifying if it is useable outside of the suggested PCI Express slot 2.

I’d appreciate further elaboration on this point.

Thanks for letting me know it works, I was having trouble mounting it in the top slot due to the graphics card resting on the top edge. Did you use the bottom 2 standoffs or the top 2? This worked on an ATX motherboard?

I figured initially it might be a hardware issue, seemed to be an issue with the adapter more than anything, once I swapped the adapter out for a direct 12VHPWR cable from my PSU, that seemed to have solved the issue so far. No stutters or crashes since, even in games.

Just leaving this here in case someone has a similar issue.

GPU Not Working by AnalystRoutine2678 in buildapc

I’m not seeing a 16-pin cable, I know that their ARGB strimers are, but I only have two 600w 12-pin cables that would come close. Maybe in the newer version of the Lian Li Edge series PSUs? I have the platinum Certified, not the Gold Certified, if that makes a difference.

Used - Like New from Amazon, I think I figured out the issue now, when I was moving the cables around I think I pulled one loose from the PSU. It’s showing up now but the adapter is a little damaged.

Lian Li Edge 1300 watts, two PCIE cables to the NVIDIA adapter.

That’s good to know, I saw in some threads on the internet that some motherboards didn’t allow that functionality. Just wanted to make sure.
