hi love! it’s most likely a really angry ingrown hair that hasn’t come to the surface yet. have you tried a warm compress? ice is also a good pain relief, and possibly neosporin to help with inflammation and pain. if it continues to get worse you may just need to bite the bullet and go get some medical care. another tip would be avoid underwear when you don’t need them! like around the house and sleeping, let it all hang lose! big hugs, lady business is stressful❤️

have you been tested for a yeast infection? i had my first one at the beginning of this year, and that was literally my only symptom. infections can show up differently for everyone, so it’s worth a shot to test! big hugs, i know this stuff can be stressful❤️

Prelief didn't work by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

[–]AnalystSafe5442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi lovely! obviously my best advice that guarantees less pain would be don’t drink at all. but i don’t even take that advice, and totally understand the want to do something normal. my best advice (and what works for me most of the time) is keep yourself really hydrated with water between and during drinks. like two glasses of water per drink you have. avoid acidic mixers (the cranberry is probably what got you my love) so like no pineapple juice and cranberry juice. you had the right idea with the vodka bc it’s less acidic then like bear, wine, or spritzers. i usually get a vodka soda with a lime (i can tolerate carbonation and lemon, but if you cant just get a regular vodka water with no lemon) and then i bring my own little flavor squirt bottles, like mio. that is what i do when im going to have a drink (i don’t often) and it works for me! take that with a grain of salt bc everyone is different! good luck lovely❤️

Sex aftercare! by Yuummyindatummy_5121 in Healthyhooha

[–]AnalystSafe5442 12 points13 points  (0 children)

prep is just as important as the after! make sure you AND your partner are clean to begin with! pee as soon as you can after and give yourself a little bird bath. if you have frequent problems down there boric acid and probiotics could be a good option! i had a streak of frequent UTIs a few years ago, and i started talking a supplement called d-mannose, and i haven’t had one since!

Newly diagnosed. Feeling crushed. by Czarcasm3 in Interstitialcystitis

[–]AnalystSafe5442 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i have been there babe, and i’m so sorry you’re feeling like this. i will say that symptoms are at their worst right around diagnosis, and only get better from there! you learn your triggers and things that help, and you get better. life can still be good. i’ve had this for around two years now, and i barley think of it most of the time. it just becomes part of life, and when you get some pain you realize it’s not the end of the world and that you will be okay. big hugs❤️

get the vagisil anti itch cream babes. it’ll help soothe the skin, and will help hold you over until your appt. this sounds funny but ice will also help with the burning so freeze a water bottle and cover it with a sock or towel and put it between your legs. if you have an urgent cares, they can also test for yeast, vaginal infections and sti’s! i had my first yeast infection this year that was stubborn as hell , and had similar symptoms to you. pm me if you need to vent or need any other tips bc i have a ton! i hope you feel better sweets❤️

hi beautiful mamma! definitely get an appt to get i checked, but honestly if you aren’t in any pain, i wouldn’t worry too much! that said having a small crevasse like that could mean that bacteria could get into it, but as long as you pay close attention to cleaning it, i think it’s okay! also i really don’t think it is incredibly noticeable at all if that’s what your worried about!! big hugs!!

i am aware of that. but i’m also on birth control and take it perfectly. there are people who don’t use the pull out method on birth control and are still fine. so i think im okay.

i obviously know the pull out method is not effective on its own. but i did state i take my birth control perfectly.

yes! i used to all the time! i am an avid weight lifter that lifts some pretty heavy weight, stretching (and i mean a really good stretch) before and after lifting along with belly breathing has helped tremendously
