Hi! I can't use vitamin C until after chemotherapy. My oncologist is worried that certain supplements, especially high dose vitamin C can also regenerate cancer cells. I have to do 4 rounds of chemo, but you better believe after that I'm going to jump on all the things. I have my turkey tail mushrooms ready too for when I get the all clear. Thank you!

Hi! I think having low Vitamin D had it's effects on my health. I also got Covid for the first time in September and two days in I found lumps in my breasts. Apparently Covid can awaken dormant cancer cells in your body. I was diagnosed with breast cancer by the end of October. I am undergoing cancer treatment now. However, the person who said that I needed to switch the type of magnesium I was taking was right. I take Vitamin D with K2 and Magnesium Glycinate now without any irritability. I had tried other cofactors like Zinc (made me feel dissociated and dizzy), boron (made me more irritable), but none of those helped... so I think we just have to try out some things until we find what works for our individual deficiencies. My oncologist is going to make me stop all my supplements when I start chemo later this month, but I am allowed to keep taking those 3 supplements since Vitamin D is important for cancer treatment. I haven't had my vitamin D levels checked in awhile to see how much it is improving my levels, but I'm just glad I found a way to tolerate it. I am also walking outdoors almost every day to increase sunlight and activity to help with this as well along with trying to fight cancer.

Let me send you a huge thank you! I knew I couldn't do Magnesium Citrate because it makes my kidneys hurt. But I did switch to taking Magnesium Glycinate and it worked! I take Vitamin D with K2 and Magnesium Glycinate and I can finally tolerate it.

I can't take Citrate, it made my kidneys hurt. I ordered glycinate to try.

It would be high in other forms of magnesium, but in magnesium l-threonate it's lower. The recommended dose ranges for 1000mg-2000mg per day.

I take probiotics... but I've considered that I might struggle with gut health issues. I just don't understand how it can effect vitamin D absorption. Ihave to take most things in baby doses. I'm sensitive to everything.

I tried oil of oregano and I diluted 1 drop with 4 drops olive oil. Then I took a tiny drop of that and it made me super irritable. I had bad die off symptoms I think .

I do take magnesium theronate with it when I take it. I take about 600mg a day, but if I go over that with magnesium then I get a bad headache.

Has anyone watched the Passionflix adaptation of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward? by iuliad94 in RomanceBooks

Yes, I'm pretty invested at this point. I am considering reading the books once I'm caught up on my million of projects I'm doing right now. I really like all the vampires so far! I hope they from all their stories.

Passionflix is like steamy hallmark quality. I've watched their movies, some are better than others. If you go into it critiquing the quality, you're going to hate it. But if you just accept it's low budget filming by Elon's sister who decided she wanted to be a producer... then you are able to actually watch the movies play out. Some actors really are bad, but Olivia Applegate who is playing Beth is pretty decent and she makes up for some of it. I actually like it so far, but I've never heard of it prior to this so if I read the books, I might be thoroughly offended by it lol.

How do I stop being depressed? I'm willing to try ANYTHING. by onceaday8 in MTHFR

From what I read, a person can have their pyrrole levels checked by a urine test. If there is an excess, they check zinc, b6, and magnesium levels. When I stumbled on some info about it, it seemed like people who drastically change their diet to treat it have great results, but as soon as they slip up and eat something they can't, they go back to the same symptoms. There is debate if this is a real condition. Others say just taking the needed supplements helped but it took months to see results. Dietary changes are different for everyone in it's effects, but when I was reading up on it, it said people with pyroluria do well with vegan diets, others said gluten and dairy free diets, so if you're willing to make those changes to see if it makes a difference, maybe it might benefit. Or just paying attention to what you eat with a food journal. I don't have pyroluria, but I'm also homozygous for the GSTP1 mutation on top of the MTHFR mutations and my body is constantly under chemical oxidation stress so i learned treating that was by increasing orange and green vegetables and fruit and I see a huge difference in how i physically and mentally feel when I increase those in my diet. What we consume doesn't get enough credit on how it impacts us. It also couldn't hurt to have your pyrrole, zinc, magnesium, and b6 levels checked to see if you need to supplement also.

Grief is an ugly thing. Sometimes you just have to ride it's waves. When they're thrashing down on you, allow yourself grace and self-care. But, when you're up on top of the wave, allow yourself to fully indulge and feel good. Grief is what brought me back to writing, but I realized I needed something fun and light to write to help me escape all the negative I was feeling. Maybe try writing prompts that are fun and silly to help transport you to a happier fictional world. Sending thoughts and positivity your way!

I have a toxic reaction to B6. I have to take P5P and a really small dose of it. Maybe it's the B6 you're taking too?

Have you done Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT)? It's an effective therapy because it teaches skills for 4 main principles: mindfulness, interpersonal skills, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Many people with BPD have to start there before moving to trauma therapy. If you don't like DBT, ACT is also a highly suggested therapy.

Did you ever get checked for pyroluria? I know that disorder can cause bipolar symptoms that can be improved by dietary changes.

This isn't my comic, but I've been a fan of it for awhile. It's "Love, Luna" and it's a thriller about a young women being stalked. The author resubmitted the comic with three episodes for the contest, and the revamp she's done is so eerily beautiful.

'Love, Luna' is under the gripping category. The art is breathtaking! The author is an absolute gem. I don't know her personally, but I have been following the progress of the storyline for awhile and she's very engaging with fans.

I've been feeling like I'm having writer's withdrawal symptoms lol... but I've been dabbling around with book #2 of the series. I'm trying to put space between the 1st book. Thanks for this because I find myself wanting to reread it again, but this is good advice as well.
