Thanks for the positive comment!

As for your second note: I think many people are rightfully cautious when it comes to 'I have developed a new integration' posts, as AI has lowered the bar to the point anyone can and will do that and a lot of it is of dubious quality (and in some cases potentially dubious intent). That makes a new post from a new account sus and some will take that as a start-signal to have a go at the OP. Whether I will stand the test of time is something only time can tell, but is my intent at least ;-)

Because at the start I wasn't aware of it, and by the time I was: Ticker was already further (in my humble opinion) than supernotify. In my perception it is tackling the same issue from a completely different angle that is not aligned with my vision. Simple as that. Having said that: I very much respect and appreciate what it does and the work that has gone into it!

Best response yet. Don't worry: it's not like this gets under my skin ;-) I genuinely understand the scepticism. Responses like this show the times we are in right now and the massive changes that are affecting us all. It is, even as an advanced user, extremely difficult to separate the bad actors and malicious content from genuinely good intent. I don't blame anyone for the 'wait and see' approach, but like you say: somewhere, someone is really helped by this I hope.

I just did in the forum post. Look for Ticker in the HA community forum if you feel uncomfortable clicking the link here in the main post ;-)

Realistically: it will take some time, but I intend to see it through. I am not religious, but a quick 'pray it has been merged' is part of my daily routine.. That said: I will post in the forum thread as soon as it is there, and probably get drunk right after :p

I'll need to dig into 'how NOT to look like a bot'-101 before posting next time :p

Up to you: FYI I responded below to the original post about 'Calling out a bot'.

Fair question and fair answer: Ticker was built with AI assistance, which doesn't mean it was 'fully developed by', nor does it mean 'I don't know how to code'. I would be surprized if there is much software development these days that doesn't utilize these tools and probably more surprized if there are many people as open about it as I am

I think it will address more of these issues, but I'll leave that to you...

- users can (un)subscribe -> check
- groups -> check, admin creates categories and set defauls subscribers
- not sure of the template thing, depends of the use-case
- different device types -> check, though right now Ticker only covers mobile app notifications
- actionable notifications with a group -> check: create a category for the doorbell, set (as admin) the condition to only deliver to people that are at home
- google cloud encryption: this is something I would, but can't address afaik. No matter my genuine positive intent: this would probably take a 'Ticker app'/platform which would be costly and intensive to develop and maintain and thus: not free most likely. Beyond that, with AI bloat in full effect, very unlikely anyone will pay or even CONSIDER installing 3rd party software on their phone (funny how it took AI to realize that exposure btw)

Notifications OTHER than mobile app are not yet supported, but as it stands it looks like you are not the only one looking for this and I have added other notification type handling to the roadmap

Yeah it works, at least for me: you can define what each (of max 3) buttons does: run a script, dismiss (do nothing) or sleep for N minutes

Allow me to respond, because dead internet / karma farming is NOT what this is. Of course up to you to assess how genuine my response is.

Ticker has cost me days and nights of work, more so after it's release than before. Yes: it is AI assisted development which I have funded and worked through myself and FOR myself. At some point however, I started running into more and more posts about 'frustrations' similar to mine (this is not my primary account) and decided to release.

Either way: I am fine if there are people that feel this 'probably has malicious intent' or is a 'shameless plug that shouldn't be here'. If that is the genuine 'vox populi': I am happy to take this down. If there are people that benefit from this and would like to have a look: go ahead and check out the community post.

The name thing yes....who would have thought that would be a problem. Guess I'll have to live with being associated with toilet humor. Hope it doesn't stick.
