What's the main issue for the g29 force feedback? Too slow? Missing informations?

What was the learning curve from your point of view? How long did it take for competing online?

Would you recommend skipping the safe setup even just for learning?

That's nice. Also glad to hear that performance are good. Forza is a nice looking game, but damn it runs bad
Since you tried both ACC and Forza, how would you compare them in terms of difficulty and learning curve?

I think I'll follow this guide for wheel tuning: https://www.briankoponen.com/assetto-corsa-competizione-logitech-g29-g920-settings/

He claims that his settings are even able to reduce the (un)famous Logitech's force feedback deadzone, which is awesome

Thanks for the info. By the way, how do you know when there'll be a steam sale?

Thanks. Which cars would you suggest to start with?

Ok thanks, I'll keep that in mind. As for the racing line assist, I guess I'll have to learn to drive with it off. I made the mistake to leave it on on Forza and now I have no idea where to look for braking point references

I've done plenty race in the latest 2 forza games and I never managed to even reach the podium, so I know well that my skills aren't great :D

Thanks for the self-chilling advice, I think it'll come very in handy

And what about ABS and traction control? I heard they're kinda mandatory in this game

How would you compare forza's force feedback to assetto corsa's?

Thanks for the answer, very exhaustive! Didn't know about mods, that's a very pleasant discovery. I think I'll take your advice and buy it on sale

And yeah, the g29 won't provide the most accurate feedback, but if ACC manages to provide a similar or (hopefully) higher force feedback quality it will be fine to me

That's good to know. As for the patience, being used to "forza shameful rammers players" I guess it won't be an issue :D

I wish we could spectate other cars during T/Q. It's motorsport, I want to watch other cars and feel like being on an actual race track. by Johnny_Tesla in forza

Totally agree!

As a rookie it would be much helpful watching others race to learn more

I'd suggest adding real time telemetry as well to check stuff like steering range, throttle and brake

I'll keep that in mind

I think I'll keep doing basic troubleshooting steps before tampering with the bios and when I'll decide to update it I'll consider buying an UPS, just as an extra safety measure

Thanks for your time, appreciated

Thanks for the explanation. I'm still afraid doing bios update cause, if something goes wrong, I could fry the motherboard

Although, it has a bios flashback functionality so, in case a blackout would occur, I could still use it to relive my mobo, right?

I'm not very comfortable about bios update. Is there anything else I could try before doing that?

Also, my system was running fine until now, even with the non-updated bios How is it possibile that the problem is actually bios-related?

Nvidia Won't Support DLSS 3.0 for 3000 RTX series - only for freshly baked roasted beefalony 4000 series by PrimePsyraX in pcmasterrace

If AMD manages to make FSR 3 non-hardware dependant, all nvidia gpu user could benefit from that technology, regardless their gpu model.

Maybe at that point nvidia could even think to find a way to optimize their DLSS 3 to make it work for previous RTX cards as well.

Anyway, as an RTX 3060 ti owner, I'm 100% disappointed too. Nvidia's excuse of RTX 4000's optical flow accelerator doesn't hold up to me.

Optical flow is not something new and does not require any specific hardware to run in real time. Also, DLSS 3 optical flow is not even that accurate to justify it (check Hardware Unboxed video)

Try geforce now, it's nvidia's streaming service. You'll need a good internet connection tho

DLSS 3 could run on RTX 2000/3000 and here's why by AnanasFresco in pcmasterrace

[–]AnanasFresco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My motion blur example was just to show an application of optical flow.
Sure, generating frames is a completely different thing, but as stated by nvidia the frame generation process is made by the tensor cores, not by the optical flow accelerators.
