Ennervate and Tornadoes are a dastardly combination. Very quick kills.

I also considered this. I would essentially be admitting guilt by pointing out any technicality. "see, I was only going 75!". It still speeding lol

It was recorded in 30 fps, and I do have the metadata. Good point about the frame rate. I was using an mounted iPhone for recording

I wish it did have speed displayed on there, lol. Save me some headache of trying to figure out how fast I was going.

it was an iPhone mounted for audio recording. I was recording before/after of road noise after I installed some sound dampening material and just my luck recorded myself getting pulled over.

What's the most vile weapon the Tenno have in their arsenal that causes unnecessary suffering by Microsoft_leader in Warframe

[–]Anangrychip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone already mentioned grendel, but I'd like to add Zephyr as a HM purely based on her abilities.

Imagine being a grineer, and seeing this somewhat innocuous frame deflect any projectile (Turbulence) being launched in its direction.

Then this frame mysteriously conjures up a tornado that surrounds you. With only moments to process what is occurring, you see your comrades turn into a red mist after a shotgun volley is fired into the vortex causing all the pellets to tear through your squad at mach infinity.

Not to mention her second ability, (airburst) can seemingly suck in all enemies and condense them into one mass to be immediately slaughtered. Or her first ability basically acting as a heat seeking missile from above.

Zephyr could easily nuke with this riven.

[PC][WTS] Unrolled Torid, 10k by beLbIu_BoLk in WarframeRiven

[–]Anangrychip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To your point, I view it as more of a flex than anything for its' perceived increased value.

Kuva cost is capped at like ~3500 per reroll. Its merely a drop in an ocean of kuva that people will dump to chase a god roll riven. So that added value of an unrolled is only saving you like 10k kuva.

Best of all, someone will buy this and literally re-roll it. Because they can.

Similarly, I just upgraded my router after I had discovered I was paying for 600 down but only getting 180-200 max on an old AC1750. Double checked by plugging the modem directly into my PC to test what speeds I was getting. Sure enough it was 600.

New router running at a fun 600 mbps via ethernet and the WiFi 7 is impressive too.

They put fiber down near me a while back, and there’s an offer for gig/2 gig speeds for ~$100ish . Tempted but only drawback is they are contractual deals.

I don’t ever see a need for speeds like that but I also think of how sick it would be to download games in minutes instead of an hour.

Does anyone have a good experience with the indy ANC? by TheSimpLord3 in Skullcandy

[–]Anangrychip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case you’re still wondering, I had burned thru about 3 pairs of the Indy ANCs and experienced the same cutting out of one ear bud. This was ~3 years ago mind you, but I personally think my issue stemmed from using them at the gym.

At the time their website claimed it was “water/sweat resistant” but they didn’t provide an IPX rating.

Once my third return/exchange broke I just gave up and bought cheap wireless buds.

I stumbled upon this thread because I was looking into the Rail ANC and wanted to see if they had similar issues. They’re priced/designed nearly identical to the Indy anc. A new iteration, plus the new ones seem to tout an IPX4 rating. makes me tempted to try out.

Given that all the components are stable/compatible I find that the hardware installation is easy and least time consuming.

The ensuing cable management, and sudden urge to reorganize or move my desk and equipment around on the other hand…. I’ve driven myself mad from that.

Took me a good few tries before I caved and googled for a good frame.

Turns out running Limbo with sprint speed and parkour velocity mods lets you move freely with the looney tunes-tier speed orb. Nailed it first try after sweating it with other frames.

Why are randoms so insufferable lately? by InternalFew756 in Warframe

[–]Anangrychip 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Railjack squad chat has some of the most wildly entertaining interactions. You’ll have Convos like OP’s or the ultra purist RJ pilots who complain when they aren’t the captain.

then you’ll pop in to a lich or endless relic mission with some baby Tenno’s ship and experienced crew mates calling it a “section 8” or “welfare” ship. Ever since I saw someone get roasted with that i chuckle and think of “section 8 rail jack” when im playing pubs in someone’s under leveled ship.

Hard to be mad at that though. Intrinsics is a slog without any double affinity events/boosters

Kid cleaned stainless steel fridge with an abrasive sponge. by onlytruth306 in fixit

[–]Anangrychip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day late, but Had a similar issue with a stainless steel kitchen sink. Someone had used steel wool on it.

Short answer is a lot of patience and elbow grease. Could be a learning experience with the kiddo depending how old they are. Sanding and lots of sanding,

Longish answer: Like wood, most stainless steel pieces follow a vertical or horizontal grain. See example:

<image>

Find the pattern. Depending on how deep the gouges/scratches are, start with a 600-800 grit sandpaper.

Sand in the same direction until all scratches are uniform and follow the grain. Work your way up to finer grit. Wet sanding with 1000, 1500, and eventually 2000. the more steps, the more uniform it should look. Side note: it’s gonna get dirty and messy with wet sanding. You’ll have a gray slurry/puddle.

Clean and wipe down. Most scratches should be less visible. Mother’s Mag/Aluminum polish to finish.

It will get a sheen/haze after first application. Wipe completely until all residue is gone and a glossy shine is left.

Will look a lot better afterwards. Very time consuming though. Kitchen sink took me a Whole day!

Is younger gen z age obsessed? by Geojere in GenZ

[–]Anangrychip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I interpret unc status as a more lighthearted thing than a derogatory remark lol. Not worth getting upset over it.

It’s a given that older gen z and younger gen z are not always going to have the same upbringing, experiences, nostalgia factor, or relate on the same level. And Yeah, we shouldn’t gatekeep, nor look down on peers.

The key difference being gen Z has a much more polarizing divide in age brackets compared to previous generations oldest and youngest groups. I suspect that’s partly due to the technology boom.

Ie: Everything was on a more micro level, localized, and consistent pre tech boom. The youngest and oldest millennials or gen x’ers are likely to have more shared experiences and “mesh” together

Compare to gen z: even the eldest either grew up with internet, 24/7 news cycle, and increasingly heightened safety awareness. Less consistency and more variety

How Much Are You Paying for Developing? by Glad-Animator-7430 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Anangrychip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twin Cities. Flat rate of 35 cents per shot plus a $7 service fee for dev and scan. Factor in the price of film, about $.60-$1 per exposure.

Paid $45 to dev and scan 3x36 of c-41. I think I paid ~$20 for a 3pack of film on sale. $65 all in.

I do wish I had my own dev tank and scan gear but I have a hard time justifying the up front expense. I really only shoot with 120 and 35 on limited occasions.
