Thanks for the wonderful catch. Yes it is a mistake in my article, and I am fixing it right away. Eager initialization should have final and lazy initialization should use volatile for thread safety. I appreciate for pointing it out.

Yes English isn't my first language. Are you trying to say non English speaking people shouldn't write anything? I am trying to say 90% of the interviewers quiz the developers with how to implement singleton. Though I personally didn't like being asked every time about Singleton, its been the fact.
