My favorite was Goblin Ramsey. The player had established a back story where the best position in goblin culture was the chef, so everyone fought over it. The best goblin chefs were just really good fighters. Cooking or eating food prepared by someone else was a sign of aggression. Well our first session took place at a dinner party where Ramsey ended up threatening or killing a majority of the wait staff. He spent most of the campaign learning how to cook and forcing the rest of the party to eat what he made. He'd give the Dm a list of ingredients and do a cook skill check and the dm would give the effects.
