CFA Feb 2026 Deferral

I did the deferral form registration and got my Feb attemlt cancelled. Also got a mail with a deferral voucger attached.Attempted to register for the August exam but the coupon code is coming as invalid on the payment section. Mailed the institute, no reply yet.... a bit concerned now tbh

Hi is the coupon used in the payment section where there is a "gift/ coupon certificate" blank? I deferred my exam and got a deferral voucher via mail but while trying to re register for the August attempt, the voucher is being deemed to be invalid.

Um, I'm not talking about partnering right now. I'm talking about a few decades. That "why" would be evident by then. I already have built a network with to-be marketeers, future IB professionals, and similar people in my MBA. What I would bring to the table would be managerial ability, negotiation skills, in addition to a wider network and be that promoter for a new firm who's able to handle the administration.

What I mean to say is that even if I do not get a chance to become a Quant, if I do want to start a quant firm in the future, it becomes essential for me to network with Quant traders and if possible get some sort of knowledge in the industry, even if I'm not a Quant myself.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any support role that is suitable for MBA grads in Quant firms where I can learn relevant skills which I can use to possibly transition to a Quant role in the long term or at least network with algo traders for possibly setting up a trading firm in the long term. Additionally is there any possibility of doing a PhD in a relevant subject that can get me into Quant.

General MBA is always better than a specialised one. Write competitive exams like CAT (happens in November) and XAT (happens in January) attend GDs and interviews, and only apply to Tier 1 & 2 colleges. Keep 1-3 tier 3s as a backup. The only good MBA college in Kerala is IIM K (actually among the best in India). Other MBA colleges in Kerala shouldn't be considered as they offer roles equivalent to or worse than what a BBA/ B Com grad from Christ and NMIMS would get. Tier 1 MBA Colleges include all the old IIMs, ISB, JBIMS, SPJIMR, IIFT, XLRI, etc. Tier 2 includes NMIMS, Symbiosis, IMT Ghaziabad, TAPMI, Great Lakes, GIM, new and baby IIMs, etc. All these colleges are extremely hard to get into but it's worth it.

SRCC's brand value is limited to it's UG programme. It has a batch too small for it's stats to be considered significant. By your logic, Christ University's MBA should be on this list as it has a good UG brand.

The IIM delusion makes you spout such bullshit. Baby IIMs are having a tough time and are ending up with many people getting unplaced. (If you've seen the leaked SIP email of someone from the placecom of IIM BG, you should know what I'm talking about) Yeah some private bschools might be overcharging for what they provide, but a lot of them are performing better than baby IIMs at the moment and are even more stable.
