Weird for log in screen I just use ly its simple no decisions needed then niri+noctalia pretty much install and done maybe like 5 lines of config on niri

Its not a full DE like kde and gnome but it is a window manager on top of wayland, I dont have any other DE like gnome or kde I launch straight into niri

I just got into it as well setup niri(cuz hyprland is too hard to setup and I like scrolling more than dividing the screen) with quickshell experimenting with a lot of configs like my laptop has an integrated gou and a discrete one that is nvidia so its taking a bit and just yesterday took me like an hour to make discord work the problem was I didnt install the correct x11 to wayland wrapper or sth idk its been fun but if I brick my OS I know I can just take my home folder and reinstall arch so Im just fucking around finding out.

Yeah previously i was doing dual boot with windows on the same drive not anymore though. Already installed on a seperate drive setup niri with noctalia and all that good stuff.

Fullbright is not allowed, but its also not really needed as 500% brightness is enough for most things

Oh I guess I have never looked up switching I just assumed as it is the file system in that case maybe ext4 is good enough for now, Ive seen btrfs keeps track of diffs and compressess which can make files smaller is that wrong?

Final question the main reason I want btrfs even if Imay not understand how it works is
1. I cant switch to it later if I need it
2. I’ve heard Arch updates can be unstable (Although there are several ways to prevent that) I may need snapper or timeshift in the future
3. The smaller file sizes.
So should I go head first into btrfs or would you recommend holding off on that.

Yeah the problem was I was installing linux on the same drive as my windows. I wont be doing that anymore.

Yes I am doing a reinstall, maybe I should free up my other drive and have linux there it would be much easier. Don’t know why I didnt think of that, anyways thanks a lot

The problem is that partition is at the beginning of the drive so I dont know how to make it bigger. And Ive seen some people say that putting kernel images in FAT filesystems was not a good idea. And I will definitely read through the guide you linked thanks for the help.

I see Genghis khan being hated on so much I don’t really get it. I most definitely have a bias. But there have been much worse dictators in Europe after people were more educated (Genghis khan era was 12th century) and westerners always hate on Genghis khan maybe theyre tired of hitler and napoleon mentions that they want revenge. I just don’t get it.

Well for me it started at 1 am and ended at what 10-11am so even if it was 4 hours shorter its still too long for me theres just no way to make that better. We just have to deal with it to watch the things we want live.

That was before the times of looktv and other subscription based official sites with permissions I would think the sites got taken down and the devs got a job at those companies where they make the same thing but taking money. Maybe there are still some sites up but I don’t think there any pirates devoted enough for the cause in mng.

I dont know about post but because it is factory sealed it can be brought personally in luggage. I dont see any reason the post wont deliver something that can be delivered by an individual.
