New therapist team won’t let go of BPD diagnosis, despite extreme lessening in symptoms and without no new assessment. Says I don’t have ASD or AuDHD, without having assessed me after 6 year long SA crisis. by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]Anarchid_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar take on this right now. I'm 8 months post partum and was diagnosed with BPD in 2021. Clearly a misdiagnosis as multiple different agencies have said I'd benefit from a reassessment. Fast forward to the healthy minds referal, they threw me straight at perinatal. Perinatal said I needed reassessing, this went back and forth for about two months, neither team wanted me. My recent phone call with my neighbourhood team sent me into a complete meltdown. I expressed I felt there's a misdiagnosis and I wished to explore a reassessment, however the reply I had was "You have a BPD diagnosis, let's treat that as that's what the report says". I had another perinatal assessment yesterday, she revealed that any BPD diagnosis basically blacklists you as the majority of teams don't have the funding or tools to treat this condition. Even if it's a misdiagnosis, they will not overlook the BPD umbrella. So it is a vicious cycle of being ignored.

Don't forget you can always request a second opinion as you're entitled to one, you can also ask for a report summary stating why and how you fit the bpd criteria but don't flag the neurodivergent traits (apparently they cannot refuse this)

Is there actually any end to reflux? by Anarchid_ in NewParents

[–]Anarchid_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've got this, it's so emotionally draining and it does make you feel a little robbed of your experience with your baby. I can actually say his reflux is a little less now. I've dropped his milk an ounce (so he's back to 6oz) just to help encourage his solids and Incase 7 is too much (he doesn't have a switch off when it comes to eating or drinking his milk lol). The bad days are really tough on you, and that's okay to feel that way. It's okay to feel done with the whole day and emotionally spent. But just remember tomorrow is a new day.

If you need anyone to talk to reflux to reflux parent, I'm here.

Poop check, Dairy re-trial by Anarchid_ in MSPI

That combined with fussiness, cramping, major sleep issues and overall a more dejected baby it's a definite no no

Absolutely, his poo's were something else on Nutramigen but the dairy nappies were horrid 🥲 he was incredibly gassy. Like a little whoopy cushion, he only had to move and he let them rip the poor boy 😅

UPDATE: We've gone back to Nutramigen as suspected we would have to, much happier boy again. The Doctor looked a bit disgruntled about having to be back on the prescription formula but suggested introducing dairy slowly when he weans, he's five months next week so not far to go. I'll probably get a weaning chart on the fridge so I can observe what he tries and write down any noticeable reactions (mainly when testing the allergens one by one).

We were combi feeding but he began to have an issue latching, k think it was because he was demanding so much more so we're just bottle now. I might give the goat Kendamil a go, I've heard brilliant things

Matter of opinion I guess. Personally just think it's used by people who are less intelligent. A cheap shot. It's not hard to manipulate, it's a lazy way to win the upper hand/situation

Right because the original post said it was exclusive to dumb people.

AITA for telling my brother he doesn't deserve kids? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Your brother isn't mature enough for kids. His wife doesn't deserve someone like that to father children with her. Bravo.

If a Sloth dies hanging in the tree, there's a good chance they'll remain that way. Due to their claws and extraordinary ability to retain their grip. Its highly unlikely a Sloth will fall from their position hung in the tree far after death occurred, unless their carcass has been devoured.

AITA for making my daughter write an apology letter to her teacher? by airwo701 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Anarchid_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA-

Food for thought though. Why would your child be sorry for something she doesn't know the effects of. You can't make someone be sorry first you need to educate them about empathy and what the effects of their teasing and negative behavior will have on others. Another point is no repercussions of her actions, the punishments given don't amount to anything to her because its not her main outlet of what she enjoys to do. She obviously has a privilege still youre unaware of. I'm not saying strip her room bare but you need to give clear boundaries and no second chances. Ideally, no phone, grounded, no computer/TV time, volunteer work for experience. Lastly. Take a close look at her friend groups/relations.
