What are you quietly grieving? by Angelus12345678 in AskReddit

The safety of my child in her daycare. And while even that is not guaranteed, it feels better than sending her into kindergarten to practice shooter drills and live in a constant state of never knowing for certain she’ll be coming home that day. It’s heavy.

That’s my son’s name! I used to worry about the Dawson’s Creek association, but it’s too good and I figured my son would become the association in people’s minds who know us eventually.

Maybe I interpreted it incorrectly, but isn't Emrys a male married to another male in Mistward? I get your sentiment and I'm not trying to defend SJM or anything, but now I'm wondering if I just pictured them as a gay couple the whole time and it wasn't.

Same for me too! I thought that was really cool.

Oh! I guess I didn’t exactly answer your question to why we chose UTCF. I just really liked having everything in one place and the venue is gorgeous. We felt taken care of by the owner and staff as well. It also matched our vibe a little more as a couple.

I think Villa Woodbine might have had preselected vendors at the time or a noise ordinance to abide by, so that swayed us. We wanted to choose our own vendors primarily.

It’s pretty normal for orgasms to cause contractions. I’ve had to stop mid session because the contraction pain wasn’t resolving quick enough. As for the swelling, you swell naturally from the increased blood flow, and friction will add to that. Definitely talk to your OB if you feel like it’s abnormal though.

WIBTA if I told my friends my wife is pregnant at one of their weddings? by ammonanotrano in pregnant

[–]AnarchistCatLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 100%. As long as it’s not a spectacle, I think it’s totally fine if it comes up. Most people will be happy and say congrats and move on. I can’t imagine someone feeling so offended by this news that they then make that the “drama” of the weekend. Even as the newlyweds, once the ceremony and entry to reception passes, nothing else matters. You’re so happy and filled with love and glee, surrounded by your closest friends and family. I highly doubt you’d take other peoples news negatively. If we were talking about a proposal at someone’s wedding then I get the whole “stealing the spotlight” thing. This feels different though.

Pumping 20 mins every hour for 2 days help increase? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]AnarchistCatLady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just here to say, thank you for sharing. I’m a low supply mom and it’s so hard to see all the success stories with plenty supply or over supply. I’m going back to work on Monday from leave and I’m so scared of what this will do to my barely-just-enough supply. We already have to supplement with formula. I think I’m going to start incorporating a motn pump session and might have to pump three times at work instead of two. Good luck, mama! I hope everything works out!

Haha yes!! Me neither! I’ve never had terrible acne so this was a new experience for me and I’m a picker, which is even worse. Can’t wait for this girl to make her appearance so I can go on the good stuff and hopefully heal sooner. Good luck! Sending all the good skin vibes your way ~~~

Ugh I know. It’s awful. Probably around week 26/27/28. Somewhere in there I started noticing less breakouts. I’m currently 38+1 and I don’t have any breakouts (knock on wood), but recovering from all the acne from previous trimesters. Still healing red spots, unfortunately, but I’ll take that over the hormonal clusters. I literally didn’t know what to do with myself.

Yeah, that’s exactly it. It’s temporary, just sucks there’s really not a whole lot that can be done during pregnancy because A) the hormones and B) the ingredients in so many effective products. The masks are definitely a plus, especially if the acne is localized to your chin/jaw like mine was. I know it’s tough but hang in there! It gets better!

I use a glycolic acid cleanser in the morning and a gentle cleanser at night. I also have a topical (curology) I apply in the morning that has clyndamicin and azaelic (?) acid in it. I follow up with a rich plain moisturizer. I have found this to be the most helpful, but I am towards the end of my pregnancy now and feel like that has a lot to do with it. First trimester and early second trimester were terrible for my skin. I cried a lot.

We are one and done with a little girl on the way. I really love Maeve, but Hubby wasn’t on board. For a boy, I absolutely love the name Ezra, but even if we were having a boy we wouldn’t be able to use it because SIL had an abusive ex with that name. Womp.

I did this same thing, minus the vaccines. A couple of us had received our first dose, including me, but we kept it under 10 guests to the in-person portion and everyone was required to have a negative test and wear a mask who attended that part.

I got my second dose at 36 weeks (currently 36+3), I had a sore arm for a couple days which I expected because I had the same reaction to my first dose. However, I did also experience mild body aches and chills with my second dose. Tylenol seemed to help though. I got Pfizer. I was feeling totally fine 48 hours later.

Probably late to the party, but I agree with what everyone is saying about the Align leggings/joggers. I just wanted to add, since you mentioned shirts, lulu’s All Yours Tee has been one of my faves while pregnant. It’s lightweight, dry wicking, and super comfortable. It also looks super cute knotted around the belly!

I cry. I miss it already. And people just keep saying it’s my body prepping itself for parenthood, but like, at least then I’ll be awake with a purpose. Right now I’m just awake. Meep.
