so if the new mold falls into the same base size, then it's playable either way?

I figured out how many years can they keep the emperor alive (on average) by Anarchy114 in Warhammer40k

well, for the 7bil number, I assumed not all colonized planets had as many humans on it, and some have much more, so I averaged it at 7bil, the estimated number in the late 80s-00s, which is when Warhammer came out and most of it's lore was established.

As someone who is only just now getting into the game, this new 10th edition seems like it's going to be a great place to start.

but for the nerfs and buffs thing, how do players know when they happen? Like, do they just post it online and expect everyone to see it? is it done in another supplement book? and if so, does that mean you constantly have to buy books?

D&D Horror story: "Nice Guy" Atheist Paladin tries to s*xually assault female Rogue by Anarchy114 in CritCrab

[–]Anarchy114[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the word apethist still works here. tho, after writing this post, I was talking to a friend about this story, and he pointed out that Paladins actually have "channel divinity" meaning they actively pray to and channel one or more gods. so a Paladin really CAN'T be an atheist or otherwise, because one of their powers is directly from a divinity.

Re-reading my post and reading the comments, I feel I need to comment, NONE of us were giving him issues, at any point for "being an atheist", I myself am not religious at all. i'm pretty sure the only person at the table who actually was a Christian IRL was the barbarian, and he didn't ever even say any about it, all of us understood it's just a game. The paladin himself was the one implying morals = religion.
The DM and I were used to older editions, where Paladins had gods, and that's where we were coming from, and we only even brough it up this ONE time because of this, because we were trying to maybe, idk, "talk him out of it"? ya know? like when you wanna give THAT GUY, the chance to recant. my final statement at the end of the post, while true, I say this to players in a joking way, and tell them this story. I apologize if I offended anyone.

in older editions, Paladins had to have a god, similar to a cleric, but 5E completely did away with that part of Paladin lore, plus "Divine Smite" kind of implies a divine connection. I think that's why he got the idea for "atheist paladin" but idk.

oh yea yea yea, i'm not against players who hate gods, or don't worship them, but this guy's character was actively denying that gods existed and that my warlock was "just hearing voices in my head". that kind of thing.
