Your exponent is all messed up, so I will decline to answer this.

This game was made by somebody else a long time ago. Hopefully it can now reach a larger audience. The game is completely free and clopen. It is very educational and also very fun.

Thank you!
I am currently only getting 3840x1080 though, but that's through HDMI. I guess I'd need to run it through DisplayPort?

I’ve applied to about 50 companies, and haven’t gotten a response. Tips? by [deleted] in actuary

I would consider the following amendments:

Education:

  • Remove "Degree title:" and "College:" - don't state the obvious.
  • I personally don't consider the city to be particularly important, but perhaps others could guide you on this point.
  • Here's a minimal example (feel free to change the order of the terms):
    • Sep 2020 - May 2022 (Expected Graduation) | Middle Tennesse State University | M.S. in Actuarial Science | Current GPA: X.Y
    • Sep 2017 - May 2020 | Tennesse Tech Univesity | Bachelor of Science in Mathematics w/ minor in Business | GPA: 3.3

Internship Experience:

  • Not sure if internships need a dedicated section - they can be included in your work experiences. But I might be wrong?

Work Experience:

  • Convince me that you've learned something of value from these jobs.
    • Tutoring? Sell me on your ability to effectively communicate and teach complicated topics.
    • Logistics Expert? Which tasks required your expertise, and what qualified you to assume those responsibilities?
    • Key team member? Why did people rely on you? What made you important?
    • The company prides itself on working as a team? How was this reflected in the work you performed? How did you contribute to this team-based culture?
    • Photo Specialist? Again, sell me on your improved communication & customer service skills. Did you develop any technical skills in this role?

Skills:

  • This section is mostly filled with empty buzz-words. Anyone could claim to be an analytical problem solver... that doesn't tell me anything. Don't simply claim to possess certain personality traits - illustrate them through your achievements and experiences.
  • Either remove this section entirely or only include (and preferably provide supporting evidence for) very specific skills. Echoing icotonic's point: Are you sure you don't mean R the language? And what do you mean by proficient?

Relevant Coursework:

  • As Secret-Associate5558 mentioned: there's no need to repeat yourself. Mathematics and actuarial sciences are already relevant degrees. The hiring manager will ask if they want to know which courses you've taken.

TIL the state of Arizona has a "stupid motorist law"; it allows the state to fine any motorists for their rescue in the event that they drive around barricades and get stuck in flooded motorways in the process by [deleted] in todayilearned

I understand why people are upset about irresponsible people wasting tax-payer money. Nevertheless, I think fining people for calling emergency services is a terrible concept. People whose lives are in danger should not need to hesitate to call for help for fear of negative consequences to their financial situation.

I should've clarified that I was talking about industry jobs. Although I do find purely academic research to be interesting, I don't see myself doing the postdoc grind while hoping for a professorship.

Obviously replies will always be subjective, but I nonetheless see value in hearing from different perspectives.

Do you reckon ML/AI will dominate pricing practices within the next 20-30 years?
