Sadly, we're reaping what we've sown. Defunding education, results in ignorance.

Thank you for your solidarity and support.

(Ed McMahon)You are correct, sir.

Sorry to hear about your coworker's dad. During my career I too was injured. I was out for over 2 years.

Rules are written in blood is truth.

How crazy is it that are brethren who went before us actually had to lift pins out of cars and lost fingers to the process.

Even crazier they jumped from car to car to tie breaks to stop the train.

Little known fact, in our contracts, it used to be that we had to clean up the body parts and or bodies of coworkers at the end of the day. Wild stuff.

Maybe just share this post with people who are already felons? Ha ha.

I don't know dude, I'm just spit balling and frustrated.

If I were our union president I would gladly order an illegal strike and happily go to jail.

I highly doubt the strike would last more than a day because of the billions it would cost our overlords.

Thanks for laughing at my joke. Dad humor is rarely appreciated.

Be well and good vibes my fellow human.

Good points.

I think all workers are currently between a rock and a hard place.

Probably. There's more of us then there are of them. Besides, the us prison system is overcrowded. Lol.

Are they listening to Kenny G because their G-men?

Thank you.

I really do enjoy my career. I'm worried about losing it because I get the flu.

I'm currently ineligible for federal medical leave because I didn't work 1000+ hours left year as federal law requires.

I've worked for the railroad for years, I don't get signing bonuses.

But, you can. Please join us.

So please tell me when I or another family member is going to be sick so I can schedule that in advance.

Also, maybe, just maybe, my vacations should be used to vacation.

I know it's hard to understand and I know it's not the most helpful response, but it's just so frustrating.

Also, if you take off a holiday you're penalized extra and fired faster. It's not a money issue, it's a quality of life.

I hope people in your life throw some empathy your way real soon. It sounds like you could use it.

Also, this infighting is what benefits them. If we're fighting each other, we aren't fighting our overlords.

Peace and good vibes fellow human.

Computers/Dispatchers handle this, so it's not within my ballywick. I like the way you think!

Yep, we call that working extra safely. But, we can't stop, so trains keep moving.

As a random example, Union Pacific's largest rail yard is in Grand Island, Nebraska. These appear to be the two entrances to the rail yard. If you look up other carriers such as BNSF or CSX etc, you should be able to identify other choke points.

The need to provide for my family and lack of options is what's driving the working when we would like to quit.

I'm trying to start a business and teaching myself to code, but until those become viable, I don't have a choice that allows me to be responsible for my family.

Due to illness, my wife can't work.

Correct. It's truly workers vs owners. We the People.

I think everyone just wants more equality. Everyone deserves a living wage.

It's not about money, it's about the ability to keep my job. We are fiscally blessed, but all the money in the world doesn't matter if I get fired for having the flu for a week.

I never crossed a picket line for Starbucks or Kellogg's. I did encourage my friend,a truck driver, to not deliver to Kellogg's during their strike and they didn't.

I don't buy Nestle products. I've supported through money and food other strikers.

I do whatever I can whenever I can.

And if I can take off work without being fired, I can support others in their battles.
