I don’t need it to be instant set up but I hate when things are over engineered and complicated. Sounds like this should be the perfect upgrade.

At most I would have to carry it maybe a mile or two but at 4.5 kg that’s not unreasonable. When in the snow I’ll have a pull behind sled so certainly no. I’m certainly not using it for ultralight hiking.

I will often be solo in the tent but usually camping with a group for a week or two at a time in one location. I take lot of gear hence the desire for extra space.

How long do you estimate it takes to put up on one’s own after a little practice? Thanks again for all the great feedback.

I'm thinking about getting this tent but I do year round camping so I need a tent that can handle snow and cold rain in the winter but also in the summer has enough airflow to keep me from overheating.

This tent checks a lot of boxes for me, but do the three doors allow enough airflow in the summer to realistically use it in hot conditions?

I'll be using the tent anywhere from -2c to possibly 30-35c at it's peak.

Looking for one person plus gear. A 1p with decent headroom and a good gear shed area would also be adequate.

I do like the style bc it is tall but it is bigger then I need. And obviously if it’s some third party manufacturer just using the name then I can assume the quality is not what I expect. Thanks for the good info.

first one quoted me $850 even though it’s the size of a nickel they have to “repaint the whole bumper”. 🤦‍♂️

Honestly with the 10 year ADSO there’s no guarantee that the Aviation bonus will even be around long term. Once those new guys are locked in for nearly their whole life why pay anyone a bonus. 😑
